I was huge into RC when I was a kid so I decided to jump back into it with this kit. I didn't really know what I was getting into but the end result is sincerely pleasing. I'm running quite a bit of upgrades on my kit (See my review on the MFC-02 & the Junfac 4 Link Suspension kit) but the stock model is very well equipped. Seeing how it is on the box seems to be enough for anyone who wants a very realistic, fun truck to drive around. Although this kit can be used for off roading & light rock crawling, after completing this kit I'm not 100% sure you'd actually want to. If done right, the attention to detail is shocking. I, wanted mine as close to what was on the front of the box as possible with a little bit of my own personality thrown in for good measure. I also purchased the MFC-02 kit to control the lights & sounds & that's when you start to realize that this isn't just an RC truck. This is a very complex model that just so happens to move around. If you take the time to pay attention to the details, you'll find yourself just staring at this kit. Turning the lights on & off, honking the horn, driving around on the grass is all a blast with this unit installed & honestly this bad boy shouldn't be run without it. The only issue that I have with this kit was a mistake on my part when installing the shift plates in the transmission. I installed them backward & didn't realize it until the kit was almost finished. You don't want to take this thing apart again. TRUST ME. Do it right the first time & save yourself plenty of headaches. Pay attention to the instructions unlike I did & you'll have a fantastic time annoying your wifey with the mess while you build this. ... show more

This is my second kit from Tamiya, and the quality of the product is just as great. The other kit I have is the 2009 BMW M3 with the LED lights. The Tundra kit probably has about 3 times as many pieces at that one. You have to be mechanically inclined and have much patience in order to put this one together correctly. I highly recommend getting the ball bearings for greater drivetrain efficiency. I have spent about as money on it on upgrades as I have on the kit itself. A new pro motor and esc from Tekin, a 4 channel radio/receiver from RC4WD, paint, ball bearings, and lots of hours late at night after the wife and kids are asleep. It's taken me a month to get it all together but it was worth it to see the final product. Highly recommended. ... show more

I like this tundra a lot an I have lot of add ons to it I use to have the ford from tamija but I sold it cause I like this truck I use to have a real Ford raptor sold it for a tundra 4x4
