I was looking for an acoustic kit that I could haul to practices and outside small venues that would be quick and easy to set up. I was eyeballing this one and the DW Lo Pro - which is at least 2-1/2 times the price for the 4 piece shell kit. I decided on the Tama because I saw nothing but great reviews. While this kit takes up a small foot print, let me tell you, this kit does not disappoint and has great sound. It should be noted that there is no resonant head and only batter heads on this kit. For those of you wondering how loud? Loud enough for sure. I strike the drums a little harder than the average person I have heard, but I would not say by much. Not that I'm any more qualified to review than anyone else, I'd like to point out that I am an investor in a business that teaches music lessons and the business snagged my kit. The media could not be loaded. About the seller is a 10 of 10! They answered my questions quickly and I received the package on time, as good as in the pictures. Brand new, sealed box, everything perfectly packaged, the size is perfect for gigs in small places, wood and hardware looks very resistant, good quality. I choose Tama for this kind of kit because I’m pretty sure that the sound will be sharp and nice, but I’m still waiting for the Tama bags and hardware pack to arrive to try the kit on stage, I just can’t wait! ... show more

    • The quality seemed great
It sounded great, but I’m just disappointed that the picture has the cymbals and kick pedal but it’s not included. It seems super misleading to have it in the photos. I wish they included the bag and the cymbals and pedal as an option, I’d be willing to pay extra for that.
