Got this for my 6 year old nephews as a birthday present! He loves it! It’s helped him get better at chess && it’s a perfect build/size, the magnetic pieces are helpful to not loose the pieces, it’s been fun to play and the different options on opponents is great! Let me preface this with, I am returning it, but NOT for the reason you might think. I'm an average chess player, but I got to a point where I wanted more. I wanted the ability to connect my phone via Bluetooth to be able to play other people via an app. This doesn't have that feature. So, back to the board itself. It's a great board and the AI is no chump. I used to set up the puzzle of the day on chess.com and the play was identical. It would've been nice to add a second queen, but unfortunately it doesn't. Some people have complained about the magnetism, but I had no problems (see the photo) with pieces sliding on the board. The included literature is informative and will get you going in no time. The cards will be a great help for beginners and novices to learn piece movement. Overall it's a great little machine that I think you won't be disappointed in.

Does what I need - maybe does too many things. A bit overwhelming- Just wanted a game for one player. Pieces are pretty small for older adult hands, but sensors seem to work well. Magnetic do you can easily carry the board to another room. Screen info is easy to read. Felt like it was kind of pricey, but considering all it CAN do- I guess I could get my money’s worth if I want to learn to use all the functions.

I am completely a rookie to the game, but this chess set looks pretty good to me. It has a full set of manual teaching how to setup the teaching system and the AI opponent. Now I am using this set to play with my friend, and I will try playing against the AI in free time. This chess set looks suitable for any rookies like me because of the teaching system, or anyone who wanna have fun alone playing with the AI.
