Love this game since it came on the game cube and I never finished. This time I played on my switch and I enjoyed very much and finally finished. Only thing is that it glitches really bad and I had to keep saving the game often because otherwise it will glitch when I less expected and lose all my progress. So tip #1, save very often, if you are grinding to level up, save every 5 or 6 battles otherwise is very annoying that it glitches when you less expect it and lose all that precious time . ... show more

Tales of Symphonia was one of my favorite GCN games and the Switch version (after the patch) plays VERY similar to that version. I know early reviews display all of the negatives. And while the complaints may have been valid at release, patches have been installed to make this game super playable (albeit an early 2000's Action JRPG!). I simply love this game. ... show more

I loved the GC version of Tales of Symphonia and when ToS Chronicles was released on PS3, I loved being able to replay it with the additional gameplay elements that only enhanced the game. Sadly, this version does not meet those same expectations. It is a direct port of the GC version, but somehow worse. With the 30fps lock on the switch even when docked, the game drops sometimes down to 14 fps in certain areas or when leaving battle. Certain effects, such as the glass shattering screen change when entering battle no longer exists and is simply a cut to black that delays combat slightly. The quality of life changes present and extra content from ToS Chronicles also does not seem to be in this game. At a $40 price, I was expecting more. ... show more
