I give the game 5 stars with the caveat that I'm playing the game as a fan of the Tales series on its own terms and not trying to apply objective criteria to it. In other words, if we started analyzing the game in terms of storytelling, characters, tone, and all the other aesthetic criteria, it may end up not being amazing. But if you're a fan of the Tales series then you will enjoy this game. Also, if you're new to the series and wondering if this would be a good entry point, I would say yes (although Tales of Vesperia or Tales of Symphonia may be a better option for newcomers). The series provides a pretty consistent experience across its titles, and Tales of Graces F is no exception. I can't say how this remaster compares to the original because I never played it. I can't say much about the original cuz I never played it. Though the remastered does work great. Though honestly I don't get what they were trying to do with the skill system there. Also there was points in the game where I couldn't figure out where I'm supposed to go. I'm in the end game and yet they don't tell me how to get to the end game. Still you play this series and you expect everything to be anime as hell ... show more

One of my favorite rpg of all time remastered on the ps5 u and your friends will have a blast if u get this rpg at a low price what are u waiting for rpg don't have this it is a must pick up if u don't have it now with it being on all platforms don't miss out on picking this up from Amazon

I love this game. I played it originally on PS3. It is my favorite Tales game. (yes, even over Vesperia) The story is great, and a little sad. The skits are hilarious. The battles don't get super boring after a few hours in like some games. I plan on getting platinum on this. I know some people are angry so many companies are rereleasing old games instead of making new ones, but I say keep them coming. I like not having to dig out my old consoles. ... show more

This was one of the first Tales games that I played all the way through and got me absolutely attached to the series. This version has a lot of great quality of life improvements. As someone who previously beat the game, it was nice to already have the grade to buy from the shop when creating a fresh save in this version. You can toggle most of the benefits on/off, so I have the freedom to change it as I'd like while playing the game. Overall the game is still good. The title system is one of my favorite ways to learn skills and gain stats. The voice acting is good, though I will continue to prefer the Japanese voice acting. It does take a while for the game to get into full swing, as the childhood era seems never-ending before the world opens up to you and you start gaining the rest of your team. ... show more
