This may be a newer bottle, because the design has subtly changed, but I’ve also noticed that it’s more leak proof than my previous Takeya bottle. My older one used to leak when I would lay it on its side, but this one has not leaked a single drop! I’m amazed. I used to worry over it, but now I don’t. Whether it’s changed or not, this bottle hasn’t ever leaked. I got the 32oz, and it keeps the water cold for a good amount of time, maybe half a day at the maximum (I normally put in 4-5 long ice cubes). It reaches a somewhat cool temperature when I’ve gone to sleep and haven’t drank it. This is a guesstimate, so don’t take this too seriously. The handle also makes it easy to carry around. I love that it’s hinged, because I can swing it around. It’s just makes it easy to carry and fun at the same time. I did get it scratched when I bumped it against a wall. I didn’t think it hit the wall with too much force, so this bottle might scratch easily. However, I did get it in white, so that’s probably why it’s obvious. I still love this bottle, though. It’s one of the more affordable ones here on Amazon, and it’s good quality. This is my second bottle (I lost the first one), so I’m definitely buying this brand again in the future. ... show more

I have been using this brand for years for water bottles and I have never been disappointed. They have improved the part that prevents leaks and I have had no issues with it so far. The handle is very sturdy plastic and doesn’t bend with the weight of the bottle. The metal is also great with these bottles, it is hard to dent when dropped. I wanted a water bottle that had a wide enough opening to clean easily but without a straw (don't wanna clean that every time). This was exactly what I wanted! There's a small handle which helps when I have a thousand other things to carry and I've taken this water bottle everywhere. My water intake is up and that's what I was going for. I have a water dispenser at home so I fill up the 40oz in the morning and knock out another 40oz after work. I use this bottle as my work water container. I work in a warehouse and have a mobile work station. This thing has fallen from heights of up to 5 meters as well as just off the cart. It has dents all over it, it's scuffed. It also continues to be leak proof and it keeps my water cold for hours in a hot summer warehouse with no A/C. It is rugged. I love these. There the only ones I buy. Unfortunately though I selected a white one and was sent a graphite (grey). I went in the Amazon app to see what happened and selected white again. I looked in my cart and it was the graphite again. Not sure if this is an Amazon problem.

After removing this item from the packaging (along with a handlebar mount for my HD), I rinsed the bottle, placed two craft ice balls inside and filled the bottle with tepid tap water. I then placed the bottle in the holder on the motorcycle parked in the garage on a day that was 104°F. Approximately 8 hours later, I opened the bottle and took a sip. While there was no remaining ice after 8 hours, the water was colder than it was going into the bottle. Give that there are no circumstances under which I could be riding for 8 hours without stopping (fuel!), this is more than sufficient to meet my needs. A real-world usage will be coming next week when I ride 110 miles in the blazing heat with a bottle of ice water. ... show more
