When looking for an Air Tag holder to put on a dog collar, I was looking for something waterproof/watertight, snug fitting (to the collar), and neither easily removable nor identifiable. The TagVault checked all these boxes so I purchased a 2-pack. I installed these on poly-coated nylon collars. I initially installed them on 7-year old collars (same material but definitely aged) and the screws that secure the brace (back) to the vault cut through the material easily. When reinstalling the vaults on new collars, I needed to punch a small hole in the material with a small nail first. The material of the vault is hard but not brittle. I don’t anticipate that these will crack or break with seasonal changes or exposure to weather. I was impressed by the torx screwdriver they provided. It certainly won’t be a long-lasting tool, but the tip of the tail (? The part you hold) rotates so you can push with your palm and turn the rest with your fingers. It’s not fancy by any means, but it’s a feature I look for when purchasing drivers; they were thoughtful about providing a tool that makes the installation easier and more secure. They also used decent quality torx screws instead of a) cheap screws and/or b) Phillips, which usually strip out quickly, especially on tiny screw heads. One thing I found myself wishing during both installations was that there would be a tiny bit of play on the brace (slightly oblong holes, for instance). It’s likely easier to adjust the screw placement on woven fiber collars than it was on my stiff nylon ones, but I found that some finagling (tightening screws, backing out, alternating screw turns, etc) was necessary to ensure that the both screws were installed straight & the heads were flush to back brace. As the brace is, the screw hole is the exact size of the screw head, so there’s no margin for error in terms of screw placement (on rigid material). All in all, I’m satisfied with the tag vault so far. I paid $35 for a 2-pack and, despite recognizing that it appears to be a thoughtfully designed product made with decent quality materials, I think it’s over-priced at that price-point. I certainly wouldn’t pay more for the product. I believe that, at the time of this review, the price dropped to around $28/2-pack. I think $25-$26 is a fair price that would still allow for a significant profit margin.

The inventors of “TagVault Pet” thought of everything when they made these little babies!!! The TagVault has functioned perfectly for us for almost 2 years now and we see no reason to switch to any other AirTag holder. In fact, prior to trying “TagVault Pet” we tried 2 other AirTag holders that not only failed to do what they were supposed to but also caused our 2 AirTags to fly across the room and break into several pieces, thus rendering inoperable! We purchased a two-pack, have been using the first one for the past 2 years (almost) on our male dog and installed the second one on our female dog’s collar today. Not only does the TagVault not come open but it doesn’t dangle & get banged around, it’s completely sealed and is very inconspicuous! Those last two qualities are important in the event that your dog is stolen because thieves aren’t going to realize it’s a GPS tracker and remove it!! I recommend TagVault to anyone who owns a beloved pet that they wanna hold on to!😉

Easy to install and seems very durable. I put it on my Shiba Inu’s collar since she’ll run off if given the chance. We try very hard not to give her one, but in her 8 years she’s gotten out 3-4 times, typically because someone that’s not family doesn’t close our gate in our backyard enough. It’s a bit of an eyesore on her beautiful coat, but will be worth it if we ever need to use it. She also doesn’t seem to mind it there.

If you're considering putting an airtag on your dogs collar I would strongly encourage you to purchase this. This is of fantastic quality and we've had it for several months. The only two pain points that you'll get with this are: 1. It doesn't work great with every collar due to how it mounts through the collar 2. It takes a bit of time to replace the battery But this unit is almost entirely waterproof and it's really solidly built (I love the hard polymer material that it's made from)

I love this AirTag vault. It was so easy to apply to our dog’s collar, and there have been no issues with it coming loose. It also doesn’t hinder the functioning of the AirTag. I can see where my dog is when he is out on a walk or spending time with my mom’s dog.

I decided to try TagVault after the silicone case that came with the AirTag ripped from my dog paying. I’ve had it for a couple of months and wanted to see how it held up before reviewing. This thing has held up unbelievably. It’s indestructible, sleek, small and unobtrusive. Fits nicely in his collar. The battery on the AirTag was low and I needed to change out the battery, problem was I lost the screw driver that came w the TagVault. I reached out to customer service and they easily and swiftly sent a replacement. The customer service is amazing! Small businesses like this should have all of our support. I will tell all of my dog parent friends to run, not walk, and get this awesome case. Thank you. My case takes a T7 torque screw driver to open it.

I bought four of these four month ago and put one on each of our dogs collars. Our dogs are 35-75 pounds and the TagVaults fit all of their collars just fine. Teeny tiny screws (tool is sent with the vault) and I had to use my reading magnifying glasses. But installing the AirTags and putting the TagVault on the collars was not difficult. All tags synced easily with my phone. The TagVault holds the tag securely to the collar and our dogs don’t even notice it’s there. Tonight the wind blew our gate open and our 17 year old, hard of hearing, black lab wandered off. Thanks to the Air Tag and TagVault, we knew exactly where to look and had her picked up within ten minutes of noticing her disappearance. I highly recommend putting one of these on your pet’s collar.

Was pretty easy to install- just drilled a few holes in the rubber collar and bolted it in. Came with some great tools and such! Love it. Doesn’t interfere with the signal of the AirTag. We take my pup’s collar off a lot so this is also helpful when we misplace the collar, also when we misplace the pup.
