I have an active doggie that tends to break things. This has been the only AirTag attachment that can keep up! It was so easy to install and conceals easily on black collars. I love this thing. Easy to install on my collars and it’s a bit thicker than the actual collar but the genius’ who made this thing took that into account and has it screwed-in in the back in the middle. It also gives off a pretty good glow after it’s been in the sun as well. It’s secure for the AirTag and after a year it hasn’t frayed the collar or loosened up. And my dogs are rough so I’m surprised it’s that sturdy. The one complaint which is mainly a me issue is that it’s been a year and the AirTag needs a new battery. For the life of me I can’t find the kit to open the case. Of all the hex keys I have none fit this thing. So be better than me and put up the tools after use lol

This was more expensive than some other brands listed, and even though I haven't purchased and compared this to those other brands, I'm extremely happy with this purchase from Elevation Lab, as I can verify that it is well designed and built - and therefore worth the cost (some of which is tied up in the two included precision ground torx screw driver and L shaped torx key). Use the easy to follow directions - for a perfect fit of the Air Tag in the plastic case halves. The outside case has a nice radius around the edges where screws are located - so it is low profile and does not catch on anything. I purchased this to replace a "key tag" type holder, which swung loosely from my dog's collar, and got in the way of the leash on walks. This holder can be placed virtually anywhere on the collar, and away from the leash attachment, so it is never swinging loose, and never in the way of the leash. I positioned it on my dog's nylon woven collar where there was a double thickness of nylon strap - so the plastic backing strap and screw heads are in contact with the 2nd layer of nylon strap, and not my dog's neck. Some complain that the plastic backing strap snapped. I have seen some You Tube videos that show mounting this strap perpendicular to the collar (across the width), but it is not designed for that, and the directions clearly point that out. So perhaps this is how the failure occurred. Others complain that they ripped the insert molded nuts out of the plastic base when screwing together. What I see is these are precision screws and nut inserts. The screws should be tightened only to compress the O-ring to complete the waterproof seal. Once the top plastic case half seats against the bottom plastic case holder, the screws tightening should be stopped. Any additional tightening risks cracking the plastic, or ripping out the nut inserts. For smaller dogs, with smaller diameter necks, or cats - the proper mounting may leave a large flat spot in the collar. Elevation Lab may want to keep this mind and design a small radius interface for small dog/cat collars. This is not a issue for my Lab with a 17" diameter collar. After a couple of months and multiple daily walks, I've had no issues, and remain very happy with this purchase.

This AirTag cover for my dog’s collar is almost perfect. It is well designed, well made, durable, and waterproof. The only problem is that the cover is SO well made that it is quite difficult to hear the AirTag using the “Play Sound” mode. So that trying to locate him by sound, even in the house, is difficult to do. While I realize that this is probably inevitable given the waterproof design, I’d really like to hear the sound from inside the case at the same level as I do when the AirTag is out of the case. But I’d still buy this one again. So 4 out of 5 stars.
