She's 5' 4" and the medium fits her perfectly snug and she says they're very comfy. As for the smell, we didn't really notice much and what was there dissipated after a few days of airing them out.

The thickness of these leggings were perfect. I did not see my under garments, which is what I wanted. The stetcheness of these leather leggings are not that stretchy to me. I struggled to get them on. I wear 14-16 in skinny stetch jeans, so I ordered XXL in these leather leggings. These leather leggings run small, so ordering two sizes up for women who have thighs & hips is the best option. Once I got them on it was a snug fit. I worn the around the house hoping that they would stretch and give a little more. I will order these again, but I will purchase two-three sizes up for leather leggings.
