It came in folded in plastic bag. I wish it can be shipped in roll. I’ll need to set flat or press the pad to let creases go away. 31.5” x 31.5” is just right for my Majang table. The material is suitable for Majang or poker playing.

The media could not be loaded. I ordered this light blue mat because it was the only color available. I would have wanted the green one but this one looks nicer in person than it does in the listing. PROS: ✔︎ Large enough for standard tiles used in American mahjong ✔︎ Smooth surface ✔︎ Thick enough for noise reduction and protection for the table and tiles ✔︎ Backing is anti-slip so that the mat doesn't slide around while play is in progress ✔︎ Quality seems very good CONS: ✘ It was shipped FOLDED!! Creases galore!! (I have another mat ordered from a different vendor and it was shipped rolled in a box.) I've left it on the dining table for a few days and the creases don't look as bad now. ✘ It had a bit of chemical smell (off-gassing?) on the first day ✘ It's described as size 31.5"x31.5" in the listing but it's actually 30.5"x30.5" only ✘ If you carry or lift the bag (with the mat in it) and your hand's positioned in the middle of the handle, the bag folds downward in the middle (refer to the :53 mark in my video) VERDICT: It's not a perfect mat but good enough for sub-$20.

The Mat looks and feel well made. The material is a kind of rubbery/silicon like feel. The top of the mat (where the color and writings are) has a layer of poly/rubber feel. It is smooth and feels comfortable to put our hands on. The bottom part is non-slip and holds on well during a game. The mat comes with a poly bag to hold the mat while traveling or for storage. Overall a nice mat to have when playing cards or the tile game mahjong.

The fabric isn't the carpet-like fabric I usually see on these, but it is well made. It is really heavy, so it stays in place well. It has a rubber backing and the face is a thick, silky polyester. The verdict: It stays in place. Tiles slide easily on it. Tiles slide quietly on it. Very satisfied.

This is a super rad Playmat for mahjong and other board games / card games / dominos / etc [though we often use it as a mat for other games or for building LEGO and Gundam models too]. Really thick and durable, the quality here is top-notch, better than a lot of similar game mats I own. Classic, and highly recommended if you play a lot of games.
