My plants are really enjoying this light, and I do love the option to change the rate of light. If you are going to use this in a smaller tent be aware it does give off significant heat so have a good ventilation system in place. This is the second light I received from them. The first was a total dud that would not turn on, and thankfully, amazon sent a replacement for me immediately. Note that I did reach out to the company with no reply at all. Definitely a good budget option for high power grow light, but dont expect any customer service. I would use it in a larger tent due to the heat if you don't have an auto ventilation system in place; otherwise, it works well( I need to get one for my 4X4). ... show more

    • Easy to use and very bright

I recently purchased this Grow Light and I am thrilled with its performance! It has exceeded my expectations in terms of its packaging, ease of setup, and overall usability. First, the packaging was top-notch. All of the parts were arranged neatly in foam, making it easy to identify each piece and prevent any damage during transport. Setting up the light was a breeze. Simply snap each light bar into the two side rails and attach with the included thumb screws. The whole process took me less than 10 minutes! Once set up, using the Grow Light was easy. The three knobs allow me to easily control the pure white LEDs, white + red LEDs, and timer settings. This makes it easy to adjust the light depending on the needs of my plants. I was particularly impressed with how bright the lights are. They are perfect for starting my tomato and pepper seedlings in the winter. I can tell that they will help my plants grow strong and healthy. Lastly, the instructions that came with the Grow Light were incredibly informative. They explain the different kinds of light and when to use them, which is helpful for someone like me who is new to indoor gardening. For the price you can’t beat it. It has a timer setting. Two different light spectrums that you can adjust independently. The only downside and it’s not much of a down slide is the two light can only be set at 0%, 40%, or 100%. That didn’t bother me at all because you can misuse a PAR meter or PPFD meter and adjust the height and percentage accordingly. ... show more

    • Great light, but it has issues

The first one didn't work at all. Got a new one. It works, but the built in timer does not. I also bought one of their 5000s and the timer feature died after a week. The lights themselves put out great light and do the job just use an external timer.

The media could not be loaded. I absolutely love this light. I've had nothing but positive experiences with this company and use several of their lights. You can't beat the cost per wattage and, in my experience, you don't sacrifice any quality. I use the pta6200 in a 5 foot space. The 620 watts easily sustains the 5 plants in that space. My buds are fat and stinky. These lights are super easy to use and I've found the seller very responsive to any issues. I did deduct a star on this model because the timer is missing an 18 hour option but I contacted the company and they are adding the option to the production moving forward. This product would be a great value for it's cost, if it was actually created properly save how it was supposed to. As evident in my pictures, the light that I received has a major error in the timing settings! Instead of going from 20h→16h→12h→8h→4h, mine goes 20h→12h→10h→8h→4h! Considering my use of this light, this flaw has caused a major problem in my ability to maintain my plants! Also, the light gives off RIDICULOUS amounts of heat, making it so that I have to run my ventilation system almost constantly which reduces the amount of humidity in my tent to levels lower than I need! One piece of advice, do not attempt to hang light up without someone to help (not impossible, but VERY difficult and frustrating) Will be attempting to return! Very nice light. I can literally hang at 60" and every plant in a 5x5 area gets over 300 PAR or more. Dimmable independently or network daisy chain to operate together. For 160$ it's definitely better than any other light for that price. I bought 2 for a 5'x10' and it's perfect. Don't get really hot. Can touch with your hands and not get burned. Uniform footprint through out. If you are looking for an affordable bar light close to commercial grade this is a great buy. ... show more

    • Controls were VERY hard to decipher and use
This light works well for my succulent plants. The only thing that I've found that isn't great is the hard to use controls. I have other lights similar to this where it's much easier to figure out both the brightness of the lights and the different time levels. This particular light has buttons on the controller with a picture of a clock, a + or - sign and one that seems like it indicates that you're switching back and forth (although it doesn't indicate what you're switching. It looks like rounded arrows that are above and below each other). I used the one for + or - and found that it changed the brightness of the lights. I'm not too sure why you'd want less than 100% brightness, and it took me awhile to figure out if my lights were back at that. Because of this I decided not to try and change the timer, thinking I'd never figure out which timer I'd have it set as. I tried attaching it to a separate timer, but it will only turn it off and not back on. ... show more
