  • They work!
Perfect. There are no instructions, so I'll save you some hassle. You're supposed to fill that little cross part with resin, and then squish it down into your keycap mold. It'll form the little cross on the underside of the key that attaches to your keyboard. Make sure you have some pipettes, or syringes with needles, in order to get the resin down into that little hole. If you don't, it won't work and you'll have a ruined keycap. Thankfully I already had everything I needed so no biggie. But for someone who doesn't already have that stuff around, it could be disappointing. So BEFORE YOU BUY THIS: Make sure you have pipettes to inject resin into the little cross part. ... show more

  • Easy to use :)
They work well! Here are a few of the keycaps I made :) going along with Jade’s review, if you don’t have a pipette or syringes, toothpicks will also work just fine for the cross part! Also make sure the cross part is directly in the center of the keycap when you’re squishing it down, it’s disappointing when you demold and it fits lopsided on your keyboard. ... show more

  • Good molds for the price
Works well if you know what you're doing, I agree with the others who said you will need something to get the resin in the stem mold, it's just the nature of the piece. They are slightly taller than my cherry caps, so they'll probably match a tallerOEM cap set. The only issue I ran into was that they aren't labeled as to which row they are so I had to figure out which mold was which. They are a little thinner than some of my other molds and you have to put a little more effort into remembering which one is which and setting the stems but for the price they're great. ... show more

  • Molds Do Deteriorate Quickly, Stick to Epoxy Resin, Check Your Spacebar Size
Really overall mixed feelings on these to be honest. When they work, they work great! But I often times run into problems with them. The pros of these molds: easy demolding, extremely glossy finish, slightly unlevel (so the keys rest more parallel to the ground when on a slanted surface- very small detail but they do have a 'top' and a 'bottom' part of the key). Seeing the keys that have come out as a result has been REALLY fun and exciting! But there are several poor features to these keycaps. Although these molds have given me some REALLY smooth and cool keycaps, these do wear out quickly and have the same fusing problem others have mentioned. The fusing likely happens due to the heat reaction of two-part epoxy resin- the most common resin used for making keycaps. It could also happen when you run a torch near the surface of the resin as well (as to remove air bubbles)- I have noticed sticking then and there. In addition to this, the spacebar mold is incompatible with my keyboard- a Corsair K68. It is a little shy and does not fit. If you are looking to make a spacebar keycap from this one, do your measurements first. My spacebar is 12.3cm while the one from the mold is 11.7cmish, both measurements taken at the base of the keycap where it connects underneath. After two uses already one of the keycap molds has ripped on me. I have also noticed the silicone sticking to my keycap edges as well, which has to be sanded/picked off carefully. Very frustrating. A last note- the molds all come with a number label, but you do not get any paper that denotes which keys fit where. You have to reference this listing. When you're working with resin, sometimes it's not feasible to check a website when you have dirty hands/gloves. I do wish they had listed the individual specialty keys for the molds that fit on your alt, cntl, enter, etc. keys. I likely will be making my own molds off of what I have gotten so far to replace the damaged keycaps; what I have gotten has been plenty good and worth the results, but if you're looking to make repeat keycaps with the same molds, these just are not durable enough and will cause heartbreak and headaches down the line. Definitely be careful with your heat guns/torches along the edges and see if you cannot coax bubbles out with a toothpick first. ... show more

  • They're okay
They're okay but you have to be very careful about how you put the lid on - I recommend cutting off the lids so you can make sure you have better alignment.
