Features

  • Lights Dim Over Time, Replace In Pairs: Your lights are a pair, one is never turned on without the other. If one bulb burns out, the other isn't far behind. Replace your H11 SilverStar Halogen bulbs in pairs for optimum performance.
  • More Downroad Visibility: SilverStar halogen headlights create a whiter light with more downroad visibility that will enhance your overall experience on the road at night.
  • Whiter Light For Added Clarity: The combination of down-road, side road, and whiter light achieves more clarity during nighttime driving. More clarity improves contrast and makes it easier to see objects on and along the side of the road.
  • Reliable Design For Optimal Performance: SilverStar has a specially designed filament, propriety halogen gas mixture, and a unique lamp coating that shifts the color temperature towards a whiter light.
  • The Sylvania Standard Of Quality: With over 100 years in business, Sylvania is the world leader in automotive lighting for Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and the aftermarket.

  • Quality lights; Read my review for info on burnout
I just installed these on a 2013 Cadillac CTS and they are brighter and whiter than the OEM (very little night driving on my Mom's car, so really OEM.) I can tell you to install on that car isn't easy because you have to remove part of the bumper but that's hardly the bulbs' fault. Others complained about these bulbs burning out too fast but you have to put it into context. These bulbs are brighter and whiter than the entry level lightbulb because they burn hotter and likely have a different gas mixture inside the bulb than whatever you're used to. There is an inverse relationship for all incandescent bulbs between lifespan and brightness. More life, less bright. More bright, less life. Using these bulbs >will< increase the temperature inside your headlight housing compared to more typical, less bright bulbs. This can be very bad if you frequently drive several hours per night without any cool down, or even if you're in a very hot climate. The hotter the bulb is, the quicker the filament will burn away. So these driving conditions could burn the bulb out before it's rated number of hours but it is actually what's expected. If you have an older car and these driving conditions, it is possible the excessive extra heat generated can cause physical damage to your car's electric or surrounding plastic. It's very unlikely you'll have that problem with any car in normal conditions. Check with a pro if in doubt. If you do a lot of night driving and want bulb longevity over brightness, whiteness and down range illumination then you might try one of the 2 cheaper bulbs made by this company. If you want better night driving performance lights there is 1 bulb above this by this company that does it, but beware those bulbs last for less time than this one. You'll get more runtime hours out of this bulb if you drive less than an hour at a time with lights on and do a 30 minute cool down between multiple trips. It's just the way it is with these bulbs. If you want the best of all worlds and will spend the money, some LED headlight bulbs on the market claim to offer both longevity and superior performance. Personally I find the light frequency of most LED headlights to be a strain on my eyes. ... show more

  • Great and cheap
Price was great but I couldn’t really tell the difference in brightness from the one lower than this one.

  • Do not work well with Ford Fusion!
Installation of headlights in a 2nd gen (2013-2019) Ford Fusion can be done fairly quick without removing the entire front bumper... but the installation is still a pain. So I don't hold the light bulb manufacture responsible for that! The factory bulbs were ok, but very yellow and don't seem to project very far. Tried an LED bulb, but with the 'Projector Lens' style built into the headlights caused a weird shadow in the center of the lights. Tried these bulbs out because they were 'brighter' and would shine 'farther' down the road. Did a swap and saw these Silverstar lights were no better than the factory bulbs that have been in since 2016. They were still yellow light and they didn't project any farther down the road. Don't know how long they last... in my haste to remove these, I giggled it so hard, the filament broke. Next, trying an LED with the emitters at the tip of the bulb. Hoping this works better for the Projector Lens style of lights. ... show more

  • Packaging
I was looking online for some new headlights that I needed. Found these on amazon for about the same price as walmart. Once i got the package and I immediately notice that the packaging wasn't the best. For starters it was so light and easy to break open. I accidentally bought another one similar at walmart and the walmart one seemed to have the package more tight with more security than the one from amazon. With that in mind I decided to return these and keep the walmart ones instead. But if you disregard the packaging and don't mind it, I would recommend these with a little bit of headlight oil lubricant so they can last longer. ... show more

  • Works well enough in my 2015 Silverado.
I’d show you a pic comparison but these headlights are kinda standard, regardless of that they claim on the package. Once you get them in, after you notice whatever subtle differences from your standard older ones (like I had) you’ll be satisfied but not blown away. They light well and aren’t super blue. Not too yellow either. I can see the road well and am satisfied. If you want some that blind god and everyone, look for led or some higher end models. Happy with my purchase. ... show more
