Sturdy and beautiful. I love the engraves look on this bronzy red gold walking stick. The handle is real wood, if feels good to the touch. I knew it was real wood when I accidentally chipped it. Really beautifully done, and at a surprisingly good price! It even has a wrist strap you can hang it up with! This is my second Switch Stick. I loved my first one so much that I got another. I removed the tip - which its a nice tip and rather hard to remove (I used screw drivers) and put a wider based tip for all terrain walking , it fits the standard tip size. I got compliments on this cane, people wanted to know where I got it. Of course, Amazon, that is where everyone in Alaska shops ! It arrived in a half a week. You can not send a letter across town that fast! I feel dressed up with my new cane. I also feel a lot safer. I will probably get more. This is my mom's favorite cane. She gets compliments on it alllll the time! She's had it over a yr now. I'll probably order another soon. I wish it came with another attachment to change the tip. It's not very steady with the single tip. We replaced it with a wider one but they only had black at the DME (durable medical equipment) store. Tip sizes the same color would be nice to offer, even if for an additional cost. ... show more

This cane is a very pretty. My mom gets lots of compliments when she uses it. It folds easily and is quite sturdy, but she's most excited by the way it glistens as she walks. The pattern is actually carved in and looks almost like a fish scale pattern. Wonderful as always. I love switch sticks because I can easily throw them in my bag. Sometimes ill have my cane with me in public and I take my pain meds so the pain isn't so bad. Im able to fold up the cane and throw it in my bag so I have more soace in my hands. My old switch stick has lasted me for 4 years so far and still going strong. I just wanted a different color. Definitely recommend especially if your health insurance doesnt cover the cost of a cane. My mom loved using my switch stick before she passed away. It was really sturdy and held her up when she was losing strength. I bought a separate quad cover for the bottom because I often drop my cane if im standing at a counter or something. With the quad cover, I can easily just use my foot to step on it and the cane flips up so I dont have to bend over or squat down. ... show more
