Full disclosure: I am a paralyzed traveler. I need a carry-on that is rock solid in terms of functionality and durability. I’ve used this luggage extensively in the six months that I’ve owned it. My limited mobility makes me hard on my luggage. I bought this product to replace a very expensive Hartman carry on. I also a big T. Anthony fan/purchaser. I have high standards. I’m blown away by this item, especially given its v affordable price point. There is a lot of great to say about this luggage: First, it is perfectly designed in that there are two outside pockets that are perfect for carrying a billfold, cell phone, etc. They do not interfere with being able to open the luggage completely or partially in terms of accessing the main storage area. This is quite clever. Second, inside, it is super sturdy with an interior metal frame. The wheels are super solid and roll well with little resistance. Nice touches include a large dedicated pocket for dirty laundry and a separate toiletries pocket. U won’t need to pack a separate dop kit (saving space). The telescoping handle works well. If I had one improvement in the design, it would be to allow this handle to lock before full extension. I lock my luggage when I leave my hotel room. The zippers have holes at the end to facilitate this. I also like that the handle for carrying the luggage horizontally, is exceptionally strong and perfect for my lock so that I may store it under my bed to lock it to the bed frame. Last, I purchased mine in Royal Navy blue. I must say with the Swiss flag in red and white, it is stylish indeed! I very much look forward to packing it and loading it for my next adventure. Also, I am not a paid reviewer or so-called influencer. Just a happy customer.

I bought 2 of these for a family trip to Europe where even checked luggage has size restrictions. I didn’t want to buy normal TUMI brand in bulk for the family as it didn’t seem cost effective and I figured if they even lasted a year or two I’d be happy… man I have been VERY pleasantly surprised. They are not the same quality as TUMI, but definitely much higher quality than other suitcases I’ve purchased through the years. They roll very easily even after 2 years of use. Absolutely no issues with the materials breaking and zippers are still as easy to use as day 1 (and they worked very well on day 1 by the way). My most recent trip with one of the bags I had an issue with the handle where one side didn’t come up with the other when lifting the handle because one of the screws in the handle had come loose. Since I was traveling, I didn’t have access to a screwdriver to tighten it and used a credit card to tighten the best possible, ultimately lost the screw in the trip. Again, although it was a little weird walking the bag around with only 1 “leg” of the handle up, the bag handle still went up and down easily with the 1 good “leg”. When i returned home I contacted Swiss gear customer service and they promptly agreed to send me the replacement screw. I expect the bags will last for many more years based on their current wear and amazing customer service! If you’re looking for an economic alternative to high end carry-on luggage- this is the ticket!

We’ve had the same suitcase in teal for about 5 years or so and it’s been used many times by my son. It’s been checked in, used as a carry on (domestic flights), and has been a reliable suitcase. I decided I needed a smaller carry on sized suitcase to check in as my larger suitcase is too heavy to drag around the airport. My photos show that the new suitcase looks just like our original teal one and so I expect it to perform the same: easy to roll through the airport or street, hold a lot, be relatively light, attractive and good value.

Overall, this bag (25" size) seems well made and sturdy. The interior is roomy and uncluttered, with just one side pocket, which is plenty. The two outside pockets are mostly for show (the lower one has a fake gusset that looks nice but doesn't actually expand), but they'll be useful for a book or two, or travel documents. The wheels are more substantial than some I've seen on other bags -- as I haven't used it yet, I don't know how they'll roll. I like that the bag has a handle on the bottom as well as on the top and side -- that should make it a bit easier to lift. The retractable handle feels a bit lightweight and flimsy. The outer fabric is some sort of textured, unwoven polyester -- it's fairly beefy but I don't know how tear-resistant it will be. I like the grey color -- it's just different enough from the ubiquitous black to make it easy to spot on a luggage carousel. I took off one star for the flimsy handle, non-woven fabric, and fake gusset, but I'm pleased with it otherwise. There are better quality bags out there, but this is a nice bag for the money -- it's well designed and I've spent more for less.

Purchased this suitcase for a trip 2-week trip to Sicily. Let me start by saying the suitcase came quickly and well packaged. The suitcase is light in weight and has an expansion zipper for that little extra space. I was able to get two weeks of clothing and 2 pairs of shoes inside with no problem even though it is only medium in size. I have always been happy with SwissGear products. It comes with 4 rollers for upright or angle rolling. The quality is very good, and I trust this suitcase will hold up very well.

The zippers are sturdy, the fabric feels durable, and it handles being tossed around during travel without showing much wear. The size is ideal for fitting into airline overhead bins, even on stricter airlines. It’s compact enough to avoid any issues but spacious enough to pack efficiently for a long weekend. The multi-directional wheels make navigating airports, parking lots, and hotel lobbies a breeze. It rolls smoothly in any direction, and the handle extends and retracts easily, locking securely in place.
