Lucy Sue is a five year old chiweeny we got from the Humane Society. Anyone with a rescue knows the bond is intense. The first time I got in the pool I had to get out, pick Lucy up and hold her while I was in the pool. I went to my ‘go to’, Amazon and searched for the right item - something that Lucy & I both liked. I bought this because of the reviews. Why three stars? I can’t keep Lucy dry, water always comes in. It’s hard to tell in the picture, but the bottom end of the towel is wet. I have to keep Lucy covered because she chills if she gets wet. You can see how much Lucy likes her floaty! She is asleep within moments no matter how hard she tries to stay awake. I didn’t have it fully inflated in the picture. I have since fully inflated it, and I still get water in it. Since this is a HUGE deal, I ended up putting her floaty on top of a ring float. I took a picture of it on the floor because I just finished adding the straps on either side to ensure that her floaty cannot shift or fall off. I used this setup before adding the straps and it works great! I am very disappointed that water gets in. I read a bunch of reviews and no one mentioned it so I assumed that it stayed dry inside. I was happy I found this for my preemie girl, because most floaties are too big for the smaller babies. My 3-month old (around 9 lbs) did really well in this for about TEN MINUTES. After that, it started filling up with water under her and she hated and cried loudly. I was sad because we were having so much fun. Is there a way to keep it from filling with water?? :( ... show more

This float is AMAZING. I started using this when my daughter was 4 months old (she is now 7 months and I feel like there is still room for her to grow into it. My two older kids love to swim and it’s nice to be able to pop her in the float and be able to get into the pool with the big kids while the baby observes. She really gets a kick out of it. It is SUPER EASY to inflate using just the power of your lungs. What I love is that since it sits far enough out of the pool I was able to keep her mostly dry if I needed to, or I could easily just scoop water into the lounger to cool her down. The canopy is a great feature and you can either have it directly overhead or lock it in a “cabana” kind of way. I do agree with other reviewers that said their baby slid to one side. I had that same issue too- I tried everything to straighten out the issue but it just boils down to it being a blow up float. It is definitely not going to take over the job of watching your baby of course anytime you take a child to a pool you need to watch them like a hawk. I would absolutely purchase this again. If you are a parent of multiple kids this is a great tool to take on vacation or have on deck if you own a pool. ... show more
