I wanted these shoes for the beach or while in the pool or sitting poolside. I tried them on yesterday and they fitted perfectly. I came up with the idea of purchasing these shoes after not wanting to go barefooted in the water. Since I don’t walk around barefooted either, I didn’t want to be at a pool or the beach without some sort of shoes on. But I did not want thongs or slides. I bought these to match a swim suit I was buying. These weren’t my first choice. I choice them after I picked my swim suit. I have a funny way of trying on shoes. I only try on the left shoe. If it fits I buy the shoes. If I’ve bought the shoes before trying them on, I still only try on the left shoe. These shoes are attractive, fit well, they feel good and they don’t smell. These water shoes fit very true to size. They were comfortable and ‘breathable’. Quick to dry. I used them to walk to and from the beach. Great in the sand. I did not feel any hot sand. And when on the boardwalk - same thing: comfortable walking with no awkwardness. The Velcro closure stayed taut and kept the shoes fitted so no flopping up and down. I bought these to replace another pair/brand that I liked, but they had thinner soles. My feet would get pummeled walking along a river. These have a thick insole and super grippy outsole. And there's even a velcro spot to stick the end of the laces so they don't flop around. And they're super stylish and fit great to boot !(I typically wear and ordered a 6.5) They got put through the ringer on their very first use. Did a river float and only completed 30% of the float and had to bail before the end (because it took WAY longer than anticipated). Had to walk back to the truck along the hiway 3 miles, lol They held up beautifully and my feet were minimally sore with no blisters; even with sand and tiny rocks in them! Did another float a few days later (no walking this time, lol) and they were absolutely phenomenal. At this price point I could not have asked for a better product! Highly recommend these and I will be searching for a pair for my husband! ... show more

I bought these shoes for my backpacking trip in Yellowstone. I needed water shoes that would stay on my feet in swift water. I hiked about 40 out of the 65 miles in these shoes. I wore them with socks and they were quite comfortable. I know these aren't actual hiking shoes, and that's why the sole came off the heels, but for water shoes, these were awesome! Great traction, love the holes in the bottom to drain, and the adjustable bungee on the top. These more than surpassed my expectations from r the trip and the money spent! I did follow the other reviews and suggestions, I normally wear a women's erican size 8 and bought a size 7.5, fit perfect! ... show more

These are my most favorite shoes ever. I can walk on the beach without sanding filling up in my shoes. I go kayaking with them on. I’m about to take the on vacation as well. I did size up to make sure my foot wasn’t slammed in. I’m very happy!

Haven't used them in water yet but just walking around my room they're comfortable. I like that they're not too tight, even for the foot I had surgery on a few years ago that still gets picky about what shoes it's in. I wasn't expecting any amount of arch support but there is a little bit and it's quite comfortable for me. Nice big toe box, also great. And the material is soft inside, and doesn't catch on my toenails or anything. Definitely better than the water shoes I tried at Target. As far as sizing, I used my men's shoe size and it's perfect. Women's shoes seem to suffer the same problems as women's clothes sometimes in which numbers are meaningless and sizes are at best debatable across brands. Edit 7/12/23: I wear these things way more than I should. They've become my "I don't wanna wear socks today" shoes. Downside: the toe protection area is a tad short, stubbed my toe so hard the other day getting groceries that it tore a small hole in the top layer of the shoe. On the plus side, blood washes out extremely easily since they're made for water anyways. Taking the insole out to make sure it's clean was very nice. I do water aerobics several times a week and these are perfect. I feel as though they run small. I typically wear a size 8/39 and when I ordered that size it was WAY too big...someone messed up with the tape measure. They are lightweight and dry really quickly. I especially like the bumper toe style. I've gone through a lot of swim shoes because my toes poke through, but these have been exactly what I needed. The one con is that they aren't rugged at all. I would never wear them hiking or at a stream. I stepped on a hair clip and it hurt my foot, the clip was fine lol. So if you're looking for adventure river shoes, don't bother. Pool shoes, or regular beach play is best for these. ... show more

Saved our summer with our Special Needs. daughter that had a really bad toe infection that was almost healed just before summer camp and summer swimming . Her toe was covered and protected and these are easy on and off with Velcro strap that stays put in water . They are comfortable and wash up beautifully in the washer too ! True to size !
