Yes this unit is expensive compared to other offerings, but, I have had such bad luck with these types of devices that I decided to go with a reputable brand and spend more money. I’ve got an older amp that takes speaker level inputs and it stated buzzing, so I figured maybe if I changed the source I could get a few more miles out of the old girl. Anyway it mostly cleared up the buzz… still there but only audible if you put your ear on the woofer. And since it only add 0.5’ish Ohm’s it essentially freed up two channels so that I could run pair of RP-505S with my Klipsch floor speakers. Every thing Is good quality like all SVS products I have seen. The printed circuit, the binding posts, the RCA connectors, the cabinet, the paint, the 2% tolerance resistors, everyting Is high quality, but I think is very expensive for what It is. Just a voltage divider, with NO adjustments, four resisistors inside, two for each channel. If you are looking for a high quality subwoofer adapter this Is the one.
