This works great for leveling between my bushes as we are creating new landscaping. The only complaint is that the handle, while being convenient to change the length as needed, isn’t very sturdy. However, it is nice to be able to shorten the handle and work on your knees in tight spaces.

Was skeptical about this. Used it to level out island area for landscaping. For the $30 compared to $80 and up, I'll use it again. Wear padded gloves. This takes work and your hands will feel it!

    • A little Flimsy
This was a little flimsy but did the job. I had to level an area about 20’ x 50’. Spread about 6 yards combo of soil, compost and sand. I would recommend a larger leveler if the area is much bigger than this.

    • Weak Metal Handle

The handle for this item is made of thin and really weak metal. It's weakest at the screw joints and the shafts easily bend. The first part of the handle broke (sheared off) after 30 min of use. I removed that section and tried reusing the handle and the next section of the handle broke after 20 min of use. I removed the damaged section and tried reusing what was left of the handle but it failed after 20 min of use. I purchased this to level out fresh top soil on the yard and wasn't able to complete the task. Unfortunately the leveling part is not compatible with an off the shelf wood handle otherwise I would have used that. ... show more

    • It is a very different tool
I got this to level the sand bed for my above ground pool. It works good to move bunches of sand at a time. Used a broom to fine tune the level of the sand. Next I will used to work on leveling ground for fire pit.
