My mother got a custom shaped longboard (9’6”) from McKelvins Surfshop in Folly Beach,SC for her 15th Birthday, in 1965 (the year the shop opened). It was in my grandparents attic for decades, then stored on my parents porch since my grandfather passed in 2009. Since I am the only of my siblings that surfed, my mom gave it to me in the summer of 2021. Thanks to my Hawaiian Gun Rack, this iconic board is now a piece of art on the wall of my Land-locked Atlanta Office.

Looks good and is sturdy. I’m using it for a pretty heavy 9’4” and am confident hanging my board on it. After a couple days, the cork padding is unsticking but should be fine with a little superglue.

I bought my first set at surf shop. Rather expensive but afterwards i thought they were well worth it. Then i found my next set here. Less expensive, but the same brand. (Please don't piss and moan about putting shops out of business) if you use your boards all the time or as an art piece these mounts work either way. I have both colors and really like the beauty they add to the style of hanging my boards. Easy to mount. Holds the boards securely with ready on/off placement. I gave 4 stars because nothing is perfect and can always be improved. This is my version of a 5 star. ... i think you will really like them.

I was a little hesitant on getting these as many of these racks are built for smaller boards. In addition the description for the product in the packaging says each rack should have no more than 30lbs (might have been 15 each I can't quite recall) of weight on it. My long board is decently heavy, but they have supported it without any problems for a month or so now. Fantastic Buy. They look very aesthetic and compliment my room nicely. Other notes: The mounts do leave a light colored residue on the drywall if they move much after mounting which they probably will. I am assuming this could be washed off, but I haven't tried. I ended up putting some scotch tape on the back side that sits on the wall to try to alleviate this. They occasionally resonate with some of the barely noticeable sounds in the apartment, but this goes away with some slight adjustment.

Simple yet beautifully crafted racks for your surfboard, snowboard, and possibly other large but relatively lightweight displayable items. The craftsmanship and finish on these is comparable to the highest quality furniture or musical instruments, and will class up your display. We mounted an original Henry Fry board in our main living room, and the result is sexy and unique. Installation is a breeze--just hang each unit at a wall stud at a width that corresponds to an appropriately sturdy placement on your board. For my 5-foot board, that was about 16 inches from each end of the board, or 32 inches apart. The bottom of your board will be supported by the racks, while the top will simply lean at a 20-30 degree angle on the wall.
