I bought these Nut bearing covers for two reasons. First: to keep dirt away from the bearings and they have done a tremendous job so far. I mostly skate outside around lots of parks and beach. so far, not much debris/sand have invaded the bearings on my skates. Second: for the looks. I am going for black and neon green combo for my skates. and these nut bearing covers looks amazing for their price. Just note that they are hard plastic material, but they haven't given me any problem at all.

Works great but be cautious installing
Color: Blue
These work great but I can see how some people might not be able to thread them properly because they are composite. If your not very mechanical have someone else install them for you as you will probably cross thread them. My advice is to use your skate tool and with a little more than normal pressure turn backwards counter clockwise 14/ to 1/2 turn first to seat the thread then proceed normally with constant pressure and being square to the axle.

Works Great on Large Wheels!

I got these in a couple colors. They work great for wheels that the nuts don't lace all the way. The colors are cool too! Also great at keeping bearings clean!

Very easy to tighten consistently, easy to swap!

I wanted to try these since I had some annoying lateral "jiggle" I couldn't get rid of between the normal nut and my bearings. I'm so happy with these - I tighten all the way down and then back off by one quarter turn and they give the perfect spin with next to no "jiggle." I swap my wheels about twice a week and these show no signs of stripping so far. Also, they look freakin sweet and feel lighter than metal nuts.

Work well, they cover your bearings so no gunk will get in there. They’re plastic so make sure you’re careful when screwing them on. They’re fit well and you can screw it down enough so your wheels have no wobble at all.

Don't waste your money. Great idea, poor execution.

Nearly impossible to get screwed on straight. If you even slightly cross-thread these they are ruined. I did it to the first one I tried (being careful as I had read the other reviews) and I STILL managed to get it messed up. Once it's threaded wrong, you can't get it one no matter what. Ended up just throwing them away.

Install slowly
Color: Black
You have to slowly screw it on the axle. Take your time and make sure you use a socket and rachet to install. Keep it dead on flat and straight and you’ll be fine. 2 out of the set went on lop sided.
