I am in my sixties and have a bad knee. Surgery is probably in my future but not yet. Walking on cobblestones, down hills or on uneven surfaces is difficult. My partner helps me but I feel that I’m literally putting too much pressure on him at times. And he’s not always there even though he tries to be. On tours and such it’s easy to get a little separated. Anyway. For our most recent trip I decided to order the foldable cane. It is light enough but still strong enough. It snaps together kind of like a tent pole does. It came in a plastic case which is nice for keeping it in your bag or whatever. It did a great job for me and made walking in rough areas so much easier for me. I have a Velcro knee brace and with this cane I was given a seat close to the front of the bus (tour group) each time which is an added benefit. It is a good value, too. Does the job. Easily collapsible. Height adjustable somewhat. But the best feature is the price! At $10.69 it beat out all the others, except one. (There is one almost identical cane for sale on Amazon for $9.24... So I bought that one, too!) Now... I just gotta learn how to use it! You can't have everything. Not even most of the time. The bad: This cane is quite flimsy. The handle is small and very slick. The good: This cane is inexpensive. It is feather-light. Its handle is shaped so you can hang it on the back of a chair. Mediocre, overall. ***
