  • Cutback extended bolts & mount inside blocks .
Style: No Lift to Any Lift Size: Bilstein 5100 Cylinders
Huge difference in road tracking, no more constant little back and forth steering wheel adjustments while driving. My observations on install: 1) the shocks are close to the steering linkages which is normal, but be mindful of any bolts protruding into the new equipment… either rotate the cuffs if you can or cut off the extended part of the bolts (that’s what I did with an angle grinder). 2) You have the option of removing the steering dampener or leaving it there, I left mine installed (I upgraded it from factory to Bilstein about a year ago. 3) The install is very easy, but pay attention that you install the brackets toward the middle side of the outer tie rod ends. It says “inside” the square block on the tie rod, and there’s a grove in that block…it’s not in there, you want to put it toward the middle of the vehicle “inside” in the outer tie rods (one of my pics shows this better than I’m describing). I’m not a mechanic, like a lot of DIYers, my degree comes from YouTube and the desire to be self sufficient… you can do this. Oh, and I had the “death wobble” one time and that’s all it took for me to install heavy duty sway bars, the upgraded steering dampener and now this kit… but it really does make the drive so much smoother, tracks the road better and going over bridges and passing semi trucks is no longer a steering wheel exercise—it tracks straight… and bonus, it looks pretty cool, have had a few people notice and say it looks great. It’s a little pricey, but worth it. ... show more

  • Great deal for me, for once!
Style: 3" or More of Lift Size: Bilstein 5100 Cylinders
Not sure if this could happen to others, but I ordered this as used but like new, saved money, and my shocks (I know, Stabilizers) were Fox 2, not the Bilstein 5100 series! Fox are the top of the line, which I wanted, but couldn’t justify paying for! But now I want rear shocks to match! Someday maybe! ... show more

  • worked as promised
Style: No Lift to Any Lift Size: Bilstein 5100 Cylinders
Main comment - it stopped the Death Wobble. I've had it installed at least a month and have travelled the locations that always started the wobble, and it didn't come back. So far so good. Cons - like many people on here, directions were a challenge. For me, it was mostly the photographs. Poor black-and-white pictures with low lighting. and a not so good reproduction. It was all Grey on Grey. Hard to see what was going on. I think one set of pictures was actually shooting from the front going backward, and then from the back looking forward. but side by side, I couldn't tell. Is that thing on the left, or on the right? It seems different in each picture. Well, duh. One direction went like this: "On the outer tie rod ends locate the bolt holding the wire retainer and remove both from the tie rod." The only thing resembling this at the end of the tie rod was the crown nut and the cotter pin. OK. I removed them. And then what do I do? The bolt there almost fits the hole in the bracket. But not quite. Do I need to drill it out a little bit? There's a spacer on the new bracket that almost fits around the crown nut. Do I bend it out a little bit. Answer is no to both above questions. I think this mysterious wire retainer thing is simply not an option on my truck. So that took me an hour to sort through. No internet at my warehouse, so no videos to help me. Eventually I got it figured out. Took me 4 hours. If I did it again knowing what I know, it would have been one hour. Once installed, though, no more wobble. I wondered if it would make normal steering difficult since just turning a corner would be working against the shock absorbers, but I don't notice anything like that. Previously there was occasionally some light wobble on certain stretches of road. Not death wobble, just wobble enough to wonder if I needed to do some re-alignment or balancing. Just occasionally. Now I don't notice that. I might have solved the "balance" issue, maybe not. So far it's riding smoother. Over-all. If you've got the death wobble when you hit a pot hole. Get this. It solved that problem for me. ... show more

  • FORD DEATH WOBBLE
Style: No Lift to Any Lift Size: Superlift Shadow Cylinders
2012 f 350 superduty king ranch Replacement of every component on front end with exception of steering box . Also installed 4% castor kit, None of this made any difference and if anything it made it worse. I could see nothing wrong with parts I removed, Over 4000 in repairs and had same Wobble. Installed this kit and problem solved .. Yes it's a bandaid on a Ford design problem but it cured the problem. This is a heavy duty kit. Once installed it will not loosen. Yes it's expensive but it works. The front end components on these trucks are so massive and weight so much that once they start to shake it only intensifies as it moves. Less than a one hour installation time ... show more

  • Front end stability.
Style: No Lift to Any Lift Size: Bilstein 5100 Cylinders
I installed this on my F-350. I had the death wobble. I had the front end reworked. Then I bought this as a backup. It was fairly easy to install. After 30K miles, the truck drives and handle better than new. I would recommend this if you had similar problem, ball joint repair the this as a backup.

  • Why send used parts.
Style: No Lift to Any Lift Size: Bilstein 5100 Cylinders
Missing parts. Looks like it was installed prior to receiving it, no instructions. Parts bags open already for nuts and bolts. Also had the nuts and bolts in the shocks instead of the individual box they come in. Very unprofessional.
