I acquired this Alex Morgan figure through Vine. I was interested in the product purely as a collectible. Alex Morgan being one of the most recognizable athletes of the current generation, I figured why not. Additionally, I have a young daughter, so I'm keeping my eyes peeled for such toys and/or collectibles that feature women. To be clear, this is not a toy. This is stated explicitly on the box. It is clearly meant to be a collectible for adult fans of Alex Morgan who will keep this on display in their home or office. If it were meant to be a toy, I believe there would be more points of articulation. That said, I do wish the figure were more detailed and more closely resembled Alex Morgan's likeness. If not for the photo of Alex Morgan provided, I imagine most would not make the connection. ... show more

When I grew up most action figures were GI joes. If you wanted a female action figure your best bet was probably Barbie dolls. Between you and I action figures and dolls are not the same thing.
