I wanted my son to be the flash this year but last year he had an issue with his dog mask last Halloween so I picked Superman since it doesn't cover his face. This is a good quality costume. I did see some areas with "extra" thread but it does no harm. My 2.5 year old son tried it on and although it's slightly large, it still fits well enough to wear on Halloween without dragging it on the floor. He wears a 3t shirt and 2t bottom normally. The bottom of the costume has elastic that goes under the feet (inside shoe) to hold it in place. Finally, the cape is a great addition to the costume but the velcro seems to bother my son so he doesn't like keeping it on long. I believe this will last longer than just 1 day which is great so he can use it as dress up throughout the year. ... show more

I purchased 2 costumes from another store in a size 3t-4t and 4-6. The 3t-4t was too small in the crotch for my 3 year old son. The 4-6 was way too big for him. I searched high and low to find a different brand that may have different sizing. When I saw this one and read the reviews, I noticed most all reviews said this one fits more like a 3t or 4t and not like a 1-2 as advertised. So I took a chance and ordered it! It fits my son perfectly! He’s 3 years old and is 37 3/4 inches tall and weighs 33lbs. I’m giving it 4 stars only because of the sizing being advertised incorrectly. This would never fit a 1-2 year old unless they are large for their age in my opinion! My son loves it! ... show more

This was a pretty cool costume in my opinion. However, my little boy (the one actually wearing it) hated it. The chest/abdomen part of the costume is a more firm material to give it the muscle shapes, and is almost like a shield. So my son, a size 4, wearing this size 4-6 costume would get very frustrated as this “firm shield” portion did not move/bend with him. He would sit down and it would be in his face. Wish I would’ve known this issue before ordering. I would say if your child is more towards a size 6, this most likely wouldn’t be an issue. Sent it back and exchanged for a Size 2-4 without the muscle thing (and of course it’s too small.) Other than that, I felt the quality was decent and much like a typical costume. ... show more

My grandson has gone through his obsessions from Titanic to Star Wars to Superman so was thrilled when he came over and opened the box. He is is 5 1/2 and about 50 pounds and maybe about 50" tall. He wears a Size 7. I bought a medium. The legs were just a little long but easy to scrunch up. The cape was a little long but I taped it up so he wouldn't trip. The small would have been too small and he can grow into this. The uncomfortable part was the muscles. I wish it was an insert we cold take out. He kept choking him - it's too hard and inflexible and he was very uncomfortable. He might grow into it but is still happy with the cape and books and belt. I'll try to retrofit it. I would suggest buying one without the muscle. ... show more

    • Super cute but bad stitching. Have to reinforce myself.

The outfit is adorable and fits as expected. My child already loves dressing up in it and just at a glance it's great. However, all the seams are loose and lots of strings hanging out looking like it's going to unravel. I'll have to reinforce all the stitching unfortunately. This is the second one I order FYI, the first came even more unraveled in the seams so I exchanged in hopes it was just the one. But looks as though they are just poorly made. A bit more expensive than I would have liked to pay for something that will likely fall apart after one active wear. But, with that, as least it's cute and my son (21 months) loves it and wouldn't know ;) ... show more

    • Runs a bit small and the muscles are "odd"

I bought this for our 10 year old who is pretty tall and slim for his age. (Size 12-14 costume) It is still a bit short in the legs. This is a common problem, so I won't judge too harshly there. One thing that is strange is the muscles on the upper body, though. They are not stuffed with cotton, but are actually stiff because there is a firm foam lining that part. They won't hold their proper shape because they came out of the package "smushed" and it held that same shape. My son isn't heartbroken over it, so it could be worse, but it does look really odd. One thing I did not like is that there were two layers of packing tape along the opening of the package that looked randomly placed, very much like someone had opened it then lazily resealed it with a couple lengths of tape. (The way it was folded on the packaging supported this. The garment wasn't faced out , but rather simply stuffed inside.) It was in no way factory-sealed. Overall, it looks like it will last for the day (unless he gets rough at recess) and that's really the point anyhow. This is absolutely a case of the price being right for a one-time-use product! ... show more
