I bought this sample because there are so many artificial turfs available that it is hard to make a selection based on reviews alone. The sample was larger than advertised. The grass tends to lean to one side, probably because of how it was packaged. If we install strips in opposing directions in our yard, it will look like someone has mowed it. It looks realistic, although we would probably not mow the grass so short (about 1.5 inches). We have looked at it and tested whether it allows water to pass. We only received it two days ago, so cannot really rate its durability. We'll need to order a large size to install in our yard to assess durability.

Looks real. Has that “new carpet” smell. Easy to install (I used the metal u-shaped garden pins. Fairly easy to cut/trim to fit. Make sure your box blade is new or you have the appropriate industrial scissors. I did let it “rest” in my garage overnight before installing. I installed it in the hot sun and it does get a bit hot to the touch, so watch your pets and children. Extremely please with my purchase! It looks so good and I’ve had nothing but compliments.

This purchase is a 7' x 10' "rug." We love it. It looks realistic, it's unbelievably soft under your feet, and it laid flat even right after it was unrolled. We are using it on an upper deck as a rug. It had a strong odor, which is typical, but we couldn't detect after the rug had been outside for a couple of hours. When you first unroll it, the grass is mashed pretty flat but within an hour or so it started springing up and very quickly became lush looking. About three years ago we bought a 4' x 6' piece of this fake grass for the same space and have loved it. We didn't buy it specifically for the cats, but they lounged around on it. It kept its color and didn't fade even in the hot Texas sun. It didn't fall apart and the structure is still fine. Easy to clean - just rinse it off and let it dry. We moved it to a lower patio in front of the door. It still looks good enough to use! We wanted a larger rug of the same stuff and bought this. It looks pretty much like the smaller piece that has held up so well so we think this large rug will also end up looking great for years.

I ordered many peices of this 3 years ago and installed it myself. The backyard area is about 800 sqft. It is holding up very well. Great for the kids to play. Just put one thin layer of sand, a weed barrier sheet and nailed the grass down with 6 inch nails. I saved thousands of dollars by doing it myself. If you are handy, you will save tons of money. It does not have to look professionally done. In my case, the whole project cost me about $2000. It would have cost me almost $10,000 if I hired someone to do it. The only thing is that it is very difficult to perfectly match and blend two pieces together. You will always notice a thin line where the two pieces meet. But hey, when you are saving 1000s of dollars, who cares if the line is visible.

I got a quote from two artificial turf companies, they quoted me between $5k to $7K to do this small area in the pictures. It's about 7' wide by 20' long. I said no way. I ordered this turn on Amazon, bought the nails to tack them in. My 12 year old son and I filled the holes with sand and gravel that I bought from our hardware store. All together this cost me $350.00 to do. I love it, looks great, keeps my dogs paws clean. However I say 4 stars for value because after I purchased this and installed it, I found out that Home Depot has turf for cheaper and looks great. I could've done it for about $200 if I checked Home Depot first. But I'm not upset, it still turned out great. I would recommend. It does smell from the urine, but I also purchased a sanitizing, deodorizing spray made for turf. I have to spray it about twice a week.

Have tried three different turf options and am most pleased with this product. Others had a terrible smell, extreme shedding, small, and low quality. I was about to give up and tried this brand and so happy I did. My dog LOVES it!!! See pics. He rolls around, naps, and at night spies on the neighbors below. And my life is all about his happiness and he’s playful like a puppy. Live in the city and lucky enough to have a large patio. This was the perfect size for his favorite spot on the patio. Once I put down my bamboo pavers, it’ll look a little bouche! My Hank the Tank deserves as much spoiling as possible. Grass came rolled tighter than a “j” and grass blades were super flat. I was disappointed and bummed, but emailed the seller who responded right away that with the sun and laying open, the blades would fluff up and THEY DID! Looks lush and soft, at least to my dog. I haven’t walked on it barefoot yet. Anyhoo, gotta go order another patch for his favorite sun bathing spot. Go get you a patch for your city fur baby!!!!
