This chair was bought to replace an older chair with a separate table. I liked the concept of a foldup side table with a depression for a cup. The chair itself is a director-style which means a flatter seat and a flatter and wider back. So there is lots of room to sit, but hey - it's not a recliner. So no falling asleep while you're sitting on it, but it is comfortable enough. Its regular height so your legs will not dangle, like many classic director's chairs. Best advice on folding or unfolding is judicious use of a rubber mallet. That will save on some consternation and/or busted fingernails. Seems very sturdy. I like it - priced ok. I saw some similar ones at Meijers, but they lacked the folding side-table, so maybe this is a good buy after all. The really funny thing is that it arrives in this tiny little bag. Not sure I will be able to fold it back into that, but I will give it a try come the winter. ... show more

    • Comfortable and sturdy, but HEAVY
Overall, I really like this chair, but I didn't pay enough attention to the description of the chair, and when I received it, I realized that it's almost too heavy for me to carry. I'm slightly disabled, which is why I chose a chair that came in a carrying bag. However, the straps on the bag are not long enough to put over my shoulder. I'm short, and the bag straps are long enough that I have to make extra effort to keep the whole thing from dragging on the ground. I'm sure it's fine for someone over 5'2" tall, but it is a challenge for me. Other than the weight and the carrying bag, the chair is extremely sturdy and comfortable, and the attached table is well-designed ad convenient. The back is at a good angle, unlike some chairs I've tried that shove my back forward into an uncomfortable crouch. It's easy to fold up and put in the carrying bag, but I need to spray the joints with silicone spray because, being new, it's very stiff. Overall, it's excellent for outdoor concerts or events that don't require a long trip between car and seating area. The only reason I didn't give five stars is the weight of the chair and the inconvenient length of the straps on the carrying bag. ... show more

We purchased the set of 2 chairs. After testing the one chair, we were very happy with it. Unfortunately we did not test the second until the following day. The table brace had been assembled backwards rendering the table unusable. A return has been initiated. We will be happy to update to 5 stars when we receive soon a fully functional version.
