I was very disappointed when I recieved this bench. Definitely overpaid, the materials are subpar. The wood slats are cut uneven. The backrest is plastic made to look like patinated brass. The bench wobbles and wiggles when one person sits on it. I wouldn't dare to sit 2 people on it. Putting this thing together was a nightmare, nothing got right, a lot of persuasion is needed. Overall I do not reccomend. Looks good from far but this is fast from good.

Very disappointing! Don't waste your time or money. I ordered it as an anniversary gift for my hubby. It shipped as promised and was well packed. Metal has pretty designs. Other than that...it was a hot mess! There were large cracks and several large chunks of wood missing. The finish on the seat slats was horrible. Only had varnish on one side and several of them had rough spots so bad that would rip skin or clothing. Sadly I sent it back.

This is a beautiful bench to look at, but the build quality is marginal. The inserts in the back are plastic not metal I was very disappointed in that. I purchased two other benches at the same time as this one and found that the assembly of this bench was much more intensive than the others.

Sent it back. I had all but finished putting it together. I kept think that once I got it finished it would look better and be sturdier. I was wrong. The steel support for the bottom of the bench was not contoured as it should have been and would’ve split the cheap wood if I had tried to put it in place.

While this looks good from a distance and the photos, it is really poor quality, the fit is very bad, the finish on the so called hardwood is very thin (I’ll be surprised if this last thought the 1 year warranty) and the most disappointing part of this, is the back is plastic! The description says “cast iron” leading one to believe the decorative back insert is also cast iron, but no, it’s plastic! Nowhere in the description does it say plastic! If I could give a 0 star rating I would, but the lowest I can give is a 1 star.

We were really excited about this bench but it’s not what we expected. The instructions were non existent (3 steps with little to no explanation) As I got it together I then realized there weren’t enough screws packed with the bench. I had to make a trip to Home Depot to get the screws I needed. Once it finally was put together it doesn’t feel very sturdy. I definitely expected more. I don’t even know if I can return this item but we’re opting for a metal bench. I don’t recommend this bench at all.

Bench is smaller than it looks online. The back is not iron but some kind of rubber. Had problems assembling straight bar to underside of curved bench seat, but with the seller's kind attention it did come together. It's a cute little bench for children, light adults, or just decoration. Not sturdy enough to use as a regular adult bench. The seller's customer service was excellent in communicating with me and giving additional instructions.

Packaged horribly. Everything slid around inside and the box was not reinforced with big enough styrofoam. There was really thin Styrofoam sheets between the wood and cast iron and some of it is permanently stuck on the legs. Back of bench is not cast iron, it is plastic!!!! Description did not mention that. The wood at the top back located on the back of the bench has a thin sheet of wood pressed on it and the corner is shredded and splintered. Disappointed in this purchase.
