I got this for my three year old. he loves it. Its a perfect size for him to carry around. Its light weight but very durable. he likes to sit and play with the ladder. He will chase it when it is running. It comes with batteries that are holding a charge very good. He plays with this for hours. And they are still going strong. the only thing on it that dont seems to work is the lights. Which my son dont seem to care. He just like that it's a big fire truck as he calls it. It comes package tha tut you can give it as a gift. It's worth what I paid to just see all the enjoyment my son is getting from it.

The firetruck was packaged nicely, but none of the buttons worked for the lights and "action". After taking it out of the box, I found it had been packed with the on/off switch "on" so of course, the batteries were dead. After putting in 3 new AA batteries, it worked like a charm. The lights flashed and traveled by itself until it hit something in its path at which time it would turn itself "off". The extendable ladder seemed to be made of a flexible plastic so it won't break when little ones play with it. I hate to return the whole truck during this busy holiday season because of the batteries, especially since there's no guarantee that another truck would have the same problem and not arrive in time for the holidays. However, I think for the price we paid, we should receive some kind of compensation for the dead batteries we had paid for.

I have a rule for giving gifts to the children of my friends, if they don't tell me what the kid needs I buy the loudest toy I can find, that way the kids gets a fun toy and the parent gets a reminder to answer my texts. This truck fit the bill, it's both loud and fun.
