I ordered these after reading so many reviews that the adhesive on the back sucks, so I knew what I was getting into. At the same time, I ordered a set of large picture command strips to go with them. All that being said...they were still a pain to finally get in place. I tried leaving the backing on them, putting the command strip over it and putting on the wall that way, but they fell. Then I tried hot glue and they fell again because the glue wouldn't stick to the white backing paper. Next, I cut a section of the white paper out, placed the command strip on the built-in adhesive, and hung, but alas they fell again. My latest attempt has been to hot glue the command strip to the part I cut away on the back. So far it is holding but I may have to use gorilla glue to get the job done. Since I knew that the adhesive was an issue, it didn't bother me as much, but if I hadn't known, then I'd say it would be annoying af (and still kinda is, especially for the price). Besides hanging them, the quality is great. I love the size and shape, and they're thick enough for pushpins to not push through the back. The quality is definitely there and dresses up my office space nicely. ... show more

I was pleasantly surprised by this product. It will make a perfect display for my collection of saltwater fly models. Mounted near my tying station it will be on prominent display. I will likely buy another set for my trout flies.

I like the thickness of these cork tiles, like the shape. Bought for wall to pin plans having to do with work. It may be useful to know that I am using them upstairs, and it may be more humid in that area. After reading reviews, I did buy Contact velcro strips and several people either said they didn't stay stuck or that the adhesive pulled off some of the surface. Felt smart about it, too. But, turned out the sticky contact adhesive and the sticky part of the tile I exposed (drew around the contact piece and cut off adhesive for only that area on the tile to stick the contact piece to it). Two of the tiles still fell off of the wall, not adhering to the Contact piece adhesive. So, I used Gorilla glue on exposed adhesive area of tile to attach Contact velcro and now, no problem. My walls are safe, and the tiles are attached - win-win! Took a little extra time but it's worth it. ... show more

The adhesive is strange on these tiles. I prepped the wall by wiping it down with isopropal alcohol and letting it dry. I then started peeling and sticking the tiles to the wall. Once, I started sticking a tile down, but I needed to reposition it very slightly. I pulled gently, but the adhesive started to pull the paint off the wall in spots. So, I gave up and left it where it was. I finished sticking all the tiles to the wall and it looked GREAT! Then, when I came back in the next morning, about half the tiles had fallen and were on the floor. The corners were coming loose on the other half and I've been having to press them back against the wall every morning. So, they stick very well at the start, but then slowly release over about 12-18 hours. Now I'm trying to weigh whether to mount the tiles that survived to the wall more permanently, using some other method, or just let them fall and replace them with a regular cork tackboard. I was just trying to avoid that and have something a little more aesthetic. Oh well. ... show more

I bought these to stick on my wall to protect it from the new dartboard we bought. Got the half inch think board and it seems to be doing the job well. Got the six pack, 2 above and 4 tiles below. I should have bought this with the board because I already have dart holes on my wall. But this should help going forward. I like the product but seems a little pricing. However, as I don't regularly buy this product and can't tell you if an alternative is a better value. ... show more

When putting them onto my walls a few smaller bits of the cork fell off and made a mess, kind of like cork crumbs. The boards themselves fall quite often, though that may be due to me being near them on my desk. Overall good quality, I just recommend using another adhesive on the back
