I was struggling to find TRUE blackout curtains in a cute color for my young daughter’s room. Bought 4 lavender panels that complemented her decor nicely. These are 100% blackout and do not let any light through (although some peek around the curtains- this could be fixed with a different curtain rod). Yes these do block out light 100%. BUT the pictures show all curtains on the decorative straight rods and light comes in the sides unless you use the curved hanging rods. Also the fabric almost doesn’t look like fabric per se. it has a kind of plasticy feel. I suppose you could spend a lot more and that fabric would be on the back side and the front would be covered with a beautiful real fabric. But since I can’t do that, I’ll settle for this. ... show more

I’ve used those curtains for a month but can’t help noticing the smell of them. They smell like some sort of Volatile Organic Compounds or formaldehyde. Especially with the increased temperature the chemical smell got stronger and stronger. I have to throw them as they’re in my son’s bedroom.
