I needed shorter curtain panels for my bedroom and didn’t want to spend a lot. Got these panels i had been looking at on a lightening deal. Straight out of the package, the panels are extremely wrinkled. I’m hoping the wrinkles will fall out in their own so I don’t have to steam them or launder them. The color is beautiful and consistent throughout each panel. No noticeable odor on the panels. Photo was taken on a cloudy rainy day around noon time. There are blinds behind the panels. I got new curtains because the previous curtains I had were completely see through. I love these curtains and I’ve had them for 2 days I really wanted some curtains that would not let as much light in so I can sleep in past 7am because the light wakes me up instantly and these did the job! as you can see in the picture you can definitely see there’s light outside but it keeps the room dark and keeps the cool out and makes my room warmer than it was before since I do have the coldest room in the house! i would recommend and for the price you can’t beat that! ... show more

I needed Navy Blue Rod Pocket Curtains With Matching Valances that would fit the windows in my guest room on a strict budget. After an extensive search these are the only ones I found that met all the criteria. They're light filtering but by no means light blocking. However, they do look good for the extremely reasonable price. Others that were total light blocking with rod pockets and matching valances cost $65 more to do both windows! I took off one star because the valances by the same name (Barrow) are actually a shade or two darker Navy than the curtain panels and a couple of the seams are crooked. This may not matter to some but I'm picky like that. Ultimately, after hanging them and spending another 1.25 hours steaming out all the many stubborn wrinkles and cutting off loose threads they look acceptable. ... show more

These are really nice curtains if you are looking for room darkening, not a black out. The fabric has a little shine to it, it is thin, but not see though. I don’t think it would provide much isolation during winter but will keep the sun out. It does let some light though, but keeps the room darker. It is a rod pocket type of curtain but you can use rings and clips or even clips and hooks. The fabric is interesting, it you try using hooks or incidentally get a tiny pinpoint hole in the curtain, you can rub the fabric in your fingers for a moment and the ring hole or stretch disappears. The color I ordered was Mineral and it is more blue then pictured in the advertisement, I returned it as I was hoping to more green/blue color. I will probably reorder those when I design my guest room though! ... show more

This review is for the Vintage Blue curtain panels. I selected these based on the color I was looking for, as well as price, non grommet, and decent width. In short: These met all of my expectations! I love them, super lovely, even better than anticipated! Details: Color: I have a family room that I pretty much kept in warm colors (gold, orange, browns). I acquired a blue and brown rug that I intended for elsewhere when I decided to try it out in my family room. I liked it so much that I thought that if I could find a way to swap to these new colors with out spending a lot, I would go for it. SO I proceeded to look for plain blue curtains. The blue in the rug reminds me of a cornflower blue. When I found this Vintage Blue, I knew it was exactly what I was looking for. Price: I normally don't comment on price, but here it was part of my selection. If I didn't find cheap enough curtains, I was not likely to make a change to my family room. This was not a need, just an impulsive want to switch things up. Curtain prices vary significantly, and I have noticed though my life that that is not necessarily indicative of quality or performance. Especially if just being used for decorative purpose. At time of my purchase, they were $7.49 a panel. Non grommet: I don't care for the look of grommets, a lot of panel choices are those grommets. These just slide on and have solid material across the top. With this style, the option is almost always there to have the little scrunching at top, or let the panel drape down flat by sliding rod through next section down. Width: The width of these panels are 54". This is pretty generous. I have seen panels (especially in discount stores) where the panels are as little as 20". Many are in the 36-42" range. This additional width will allow for the curtains to maintain a bit of ripple rather when closed than being flat when pulled closed. This also lends to greater privacy. Also accommodates wider area with less panels. I didn't buy these for blocking light, but I do like having them closed at night for a little privacy (despite living in country). They are fine. They are a standard curtain to me. They do not say they are light blocking. They do say that they "blocks out SOME light", and that "Performance varies by color". My medium blue does a nice job giving me privacy and dimming the room when the sun is beating in. I suggest that if more darkening, blocking, or privacy is needed (and you don't want stiff light blocking panels), add in another panel or two. I included a bunch of pics! Color is closest to the photos taken further away. edit/update: Just swinging by to say that I bought two more panels a couple months later, and the dye lot is the same. I was worried they wouldn't be, but all looks the same. PHEW! ... show more
