I got new curtains because the previous curtains I had were completely see through. These are really nice curtains if you are looking for room darkening, not a black out. The fabric has a little shine to it, it is thin, but not see though. I don’t think it would provide much isolation during winter but will keep the sun out. It does let some light though, but keeps the room darker. It is a rod pocket type of curtain but you can use rings and clips or even clips and hooks. The fabric is interesting, it you try using hooks or incidentally get a tiny pinpoint hole in the curtain, you can rub the fabric in your fingers for a moment and the ring hole or stretch disappears. The color I ordered was Mineral and it is more blue then pictured in the advertisement, I returned it as I was hoping to more green/blue color. I will probably reorder those when I design my guest room though! ... show more

I needed Navy Blue Rod Pocket Curtains With Matching Valances that would fit the windows in my guest room on a strict budget. After an extensive search these are the only ones I found that met all the criteria. They're light filtering but by no means light blocking. However, they do look good for the extremely reasonable price. Others that were total light blocking with rod pockets and matching valances cost $65 more to do both windows! I took off one star because the valances by the same name (Barrow) are actually a shade or two darker Navy than the curtain panels and a couple of the seams are crooked. This may not matter to some but I'm picky like that. Ultimately, after hanging them and spending another 1.25 hours steaming out all the many stubborn wrinkles and cutting off loose threads they look acceptable. ... show more
