I filled peat pots with Black Gold in peat pots and placed them on a leftover seed tray with ridges to keep the pots off the bottom. I poured water to 1/2 inch from the bottom of the pot, then let it dry out. Strong seedlings. Cucumbers and cantaloupe produced flowers before transplant. Used most of the bag to (late season) start my Thai chili seeds. I dampened the mixture in a big pot and then filled 40 3-inch plastic seed starters, added seeds, put them in a long container on a heating pad, covered with clear "humidity" lids and it's done, now to wait a few days and see what pops up. I have used this for two years and it is amazing! Best seedling soil I have used. I do find soil expensive regardless of the brand. I think this is expensive. That said it works better than expected delivers as advertised and so is worth the unavoidable cost.

Since I started using this for my seedlings, I'm getting fantastic germination rates. I've started coleus, tomatoes, geraniums, eggplant, a huge variety of sweet and hot peppers and more. This is my new "go to" soil for starting plants indoors. Absolutely recommend!
