I have used a lot of mineral sunscreens. This sunscreen has a white cast, but it’s one of the most minimal casts that I’ve seen and I really appreciate that. It’s also not super shiny which is also great.

I am out in the sun a lot and have melasma that I treat with retinol so a good sunscreen is a must. I like this one because of the coverage. The feel is silky but a little chalky as well, and it does give a white cast when first applied but absorbs pretty well. It leaves a dry touch and I find it great for when I'm gardening because it is sweat resistant. If I were going out to a social event the white cast would be an issue unless you wear foundation which I do not, but it would probably be a good primer. I wish it had a nice fragrance but it is completely neutral so great for those who can't tolerate scents. Sun Bum also makes a little gel stick for the face that I love and smells great, (like Juicy Fruit gum!), that works well also. Overall this mineral sunscreen is great for the face, coverage, and environment.

We had been using the ThinkBaby mineral sunscreen for years. I wanted to look for a similar alternative but with less white cast. I actually bought this on a whim because it had the fastest shipping at the time (needed it for an outdoor event we were going to). We are now three purchases deep with this product. In my opinion, I think it gives the same amount of sun protection as before without the white cast. It rubs in great. Non-greasy. Initially, the lack of added fragrance was a little off-putting because we were so used to the typical coconut or citrus scents, but we all got used to it. Definitely on my list of subscription purchases now. I wish it was available in a larger size.

I've tried many other sunscreens and all of them give me an allergic reaction, or they are very thick and leave a white residue. This, though, does neither of those things. It's just the right consistency. I've purchased this twice now and will purchase more in the future, I'm sure.

Great product. I wanted a Zink based sunscreen for my face, but I was hoping it would still have the Sun Bum traditional “tropical” scent. Sadly nope. I’m mixing it with the traditional Sun Bum 30 so I can get my tropical feel while keeping my face safe from sun damage. Hopefully I don’t turn green :)
