Description

Available in two sizes, the Sport Safety Harness is a step up from the standard harness system and delivers a secure fit with elevated comfort and functionality thanks to its padded shoulder straps, performance tether, and quick-lock buckles. A lineman’s style climbing rope is also included to ensure safety when ascending a tree via climber, installing hang-on stands, or using any other elevated hunting equipment. Plus, a loop at the base of the back can be used to aid in dragging a deer. This harness is completely adjustable, with convenient slides that make it easy to perfect your fit. It’s durable, lightweight, and tangle-resistant, making it easy to put on, even in low-light conditions.

    • Feels comfortable and safe. Only one drawback.
Its been awhile since I used my climbing stand so I thought I better get a new harness. This was the only one in stock, so I really didn't have much choice. It was very easy to put on, and easily adjustable. There were a few things I didn't care about, and that need improvement. The first, is there is a useless strap that goes in the front of the harness, midway across your chest. It's not for support, just to tighten the harness to you for what ever reason. The flaw is that it there is too much slack in the strap and you really can't tighten it so it gets in the way. Again, this isn't for support, just there for cosmetics. The other issue is the strap that goes around the tree as you climb, which you connect to the supplied carabiner. No matter if I was climbing a pine, oak or maple tree, there was way too much slack on the loop around the tree. No matter how hard I pulled to tighten it around the tree as I climbed, it would loosen. I'm sure it would catch if I were to fall, but I didn't like that. And, while seated in my stand, if I moved around, the line would get hung up under or over my arms, and the line would inch down. The last thing is the safety strap for your legs to rest on should you fall. It comes attached to the side and hangs down in it's own little bag. That bag sways back and forth too much as you walk, and eventually the entire line likes to come out of the pouch. Not cool. The bag that it comes is has a velcro lip, but it's not wide enough to work. So, bottom line, I would recommend buying this, but just know you're going to be annoyed by some of the little things. Well worth the investment over the crappy seat belt ones that come with stands. I'm a big guy, 6'4" and 250lbs and this thing has room for me to take down Thanksgiving dinner and still not know its there. It's easy to put on and take off as well as climb up the tree with. Can't say whether or not it "works" since I haven't fallen out of the tree, but it sure as hell feels like it will and I trust the product. ... show more

An affordable price for a harness that is well made and comfortable. I sit in a climber 20 and 25 feet high. My wife would not understand me having an accident that could have been prevented by simply wearing a safety harness while hunting. Overall this is a very nice harness. The buckles are great quality, and I like how easy to adjust it is. Only giving 4 stars because the shoulder straps could be more adjustable. I have the large and I am 6'0" 180lbs and with the shoulder straps tightened all the way it still fits a little loose on me. Leg straps are no problem. But if I pull on the safety line the shoulder straps pull up about 5" from my shoulders, when I would prefer they stay pretty tight. I tried the Summit pro harness in medium and the shoulder straps were way too tight, pulling back on my shoulders. So I stuck with sport large model. I also like how the sport model has the deer drag loop whereas the pro model does not. Overall I think the harness is great you may just have a hard time getting the correct size as the size chart doesn't take into account height. ... show more
