For the past few years I have been doing paint by number in the winter to help pass the time. This PBN has a whimsical quality that really appealed to me. I just love the seagull up front who appears to be looking at you inquisitively. While it required some patience and diligence, I was extremely pleased with the outcome. It is a little bit of an odd size, so I will have to put some effort into finding a frame for it. Also, I was worried about having enough paint for some of the broader expanses in the sky portion of the painting, but I had enough to complete it. Overall I'm very satisfied with this paint by number kit.

So much fun!! Loved the personality of each bird. I may even frame it. Fam loves it. I make sure they stand far enough back to hide the flaws. Learned a lot and gateway to new hobby! Great paints and instruction and price. Needed a board to keep it flat but worth it. Give it a try. Way cheaper than the kits online. See if you like it. Keep water nearby and a rag and go for it

I bought this seagull paint-by-number kit on a whim, and I’m so glad I did. The group of seagulls on pillars in the water is simple but fun. My favorite detail is one little seagull turning his head to look right at you. It adds such a cheeky, fun vibe to the whole piece! The colors were vibrant. The lines were clear, and most numbers were easy to read, which made it a really relaxing way to unwind at night. It turned out beautifully and now hangs in my guest room. Great gift idea, too, especially for anyone who loves the beach or just wants a creative way to de-stress. Just be warned: once you finish one, you’ll want to order another!

This is definitely not for beginners. First off there are way too many individual places for color. The hardest part is even seeing the numbers to know where to paint I had to get out the magnifying glass and decided it was not worth it. I wanted something to help me relax. This was not it.

The canvas ironed well and it is on actual canvas. Its the rubbery kind of substrate so I gessoed mine with transparent gesso for some grip. I started with the white back ground which frankly is messy and to my mind should have been already white without need to actually pain it all maybe just to add texture with paint in places. I was excited to get started but the paints for mine were all dry so am somewhat disappointed. I do have my own acrylics and am doing my best to color match using my own paint but its not as relaxing as I had hoped it would be. If the paints were all wet and lovely I would have given it five stars. but as is its 3 but only because the painting itself looks lovely.
