  • WAY overpriced for what it is
Color: Original Version
This product is probably about 75 cents worth of material. I was under the impression that the inserts would be saline solution packets much like the Diaddario Humidipak, but that is not the case. A cheap looking plastic case opens to insert a packet that needs to be soaked in water first. The packets are filled with nothing more than the same absorbing powder found in baby diapers. Having now seen this product in person, I would expect to pay about $5 for it, not $20. ... show more

  • Not easy to use
Color: Original Version
Works well but tricky to maintain. Have to refill water every few days. Have to use distilled water. If tap water was used, the inner beads soon stop absorbing water. Even if distilled water was used, it will stop absorbing water after few weeks or months. When pouch is new, beads absorb water quickly. After 3 or 4 fills, have to wait several minutes for the beads to absorb water. ... show more

  • Humidifies Without Mess
Color: Original Version
I have tried various humidifiers for my violin case and I like this on the best. It does a good job of humidifying the case without any fear of moisture escaping from it. If it dries out, I just leave it soaking for about an hour and the beads have absorbed the moisture again.

  • Great for any wood instrument case.
Color: Original Version
Best humidifier I have founds for a violin case. First, it dosen't stick well, so just know that you will be setting it in your case. However, this will keep your violin case at a solid 35- 45% even in the driest seasons.

Great humidifier. Before you place off the backing on the adhesive tape, place the humidifier in your instrument case and make sure it closes. Once you peel off the backing to the adhesive, you have one shot at the correct position. If you get it wrong, you'll be able to remove the humidifier, but the adhesive is not strong enough for a second placement attempt. ... show more

  • This really works.
Color: Original Version
My son has a decent violin. I found the sound of the violin was not right in November when it was very dry. I purchased this STRETTO 1010 Humidifier and waited to see the effectiveness. After overnight, the violin sounded perfect again. I am purchasing more pouches.

  • A great humidifier
I bought this humidifier for one of my students as I have used one for a couple years and find it works very nicely in an extremely dry environment. I found the back doesn't stick to the case very well but it can slip into any small place in the instrument case so I don't fault the item for this.

  • Wonderful Humidifier
Color: Original Version
I have a viola. This works wonders! I soak it once a week in water for about five minutes. It definitely lets me have peace of mind knowing my instrument is well humidified to prevent cracks in the wood.
