I ordered these canvases to use with watercolor paints. They are very nice sturdy framed canvases but not what I expected. Although they are advertised as good for any kind of painting they are not appropriate for watercolor painting. There’s a good variety of sizes (5) in this set and they are about half an inch thick. If you were looking for a nice framed canvas for oil or acrylic painting these would for these fit the bill. Do not purchase this if you are looking to paint with watercolors. bill. .

This is a nice assortment of canvases for a budding artist! I don't know about how 'professional' the canvases are, but my on-the-younger-side artist certainly enjoyed the variety added to her canvas collection. The canvases came well-packaged and arrived safely and undamaged. The variety of sizes was pleasing and useful both. A very nice assortment for any painter!

Three stars. Pro Art supplies are expensive, hence artists are always looking for "bargains". Now, some are good and some are not as such. These canvasses have pros and cons. Pros: -Inexpensive (15 canvasses of various sizes) -good for beginning artists (practice canvasses) -With a couple of layers of gesso the canvas is a bit more workable Cons: -Inexpensive, hence not of the greatest quality (thin and not lightfast) -Not very well-stretched -With a couple of layers of gesso the canvas may buck -Not well back-stapled (canvas is simply folded over and stapled without much stretching) -Definitely not a Pro canvas -Not suited for archival purposes.

I paint as a main hobby so, I go through canvases painting (acrylic) pieces for my home and other family who requests it so, I go through lots of canvases. These canvases are nice, great, sturdy quality! The best part is you get three canvases of 5 different sizes!! So, much or little if you chose to paint intricate or simple straight forward pieces. The canvas is nicely stretched and feels just like the ones I pick up from other major art stores. I am so incredibly happy and excited to use these! Sketching on them has gone smooth and easy thus far and I don't think I will have any issues while painting. I highly recommend this set! Especially if you want to try other sizes or get out of a repetitive feeling from using the same sized canvases and try something new that forces you to paint bigger and smaller and challenge your self!

These are good budget canvases, not professional grade by a long shot, but that's to be expected in this price range. They're stretched properly and I didn't experience any sagging on the one I've used so far. These are great for kids, or for practice. Only complaint is that one of them was covered in... unknown brown stuff... on the back & front under the shrink wrap. I threw it away because... well... i didn't want to mess with unknown brown stuff.
