This one piece recliner cover works very well for what we needed. Our recliner still functions. However, it is well used. It is a bulky recliner with a wooden side release for the footrest. We have been trying to stretch it’s life out longer by using a strong dark brown leatherette repair tape called (MASTA PLASTA 60”x4”- which is a wonderful repair tape) to cover critical cracks in the seat. The tape is great and never unsticks but is noticeable. So….we bought the stretchy recliner cover on Amazon. It looks so much better now and it is comfortable. Very good buy. Reasonable cost. Quick delivery. Would definitely buy again. Comes with instructions. Look for the 2 small red tabs that say “back” to know that that is the end to slide over the back and also look for the 4 thick white elastic bands that you will push through the recliner to slide over the metal frame to keep the cover from slipping up. Also keep the 4 small white rolls as these you will shove on the outside of the cover to push the cover down on sides and back. Great idea since these keep the cover in place. * NOTE THAT THIS IS "BROWN" as it looked in the color options. Actually it is more of a light tan instead of the dark brown we thought we were getting. However, no biggie for us. We still like it. It was still a good purchase in every way. ... show more

It took two of us to put the cover on the chair, mainly because the chair had to be tipped over to tie the elastic underneath but other than that one person could install it. It’s very easy to stretched. It doesn’t fit perfectly but it fits well enough. It looks good. I put the star foam tubes in the crevices of the chair tied the elastic underneath and around the foot rest. it’s been on three days and it’s stayed in position. It’s very soft and I’m very pleased with it. I don’t know if it’s waterproof. I haven’t spilled anything on it. it’s been a few months now since I put the cover on the chair and I just wanted to revise this so as not to mislead anybody it does come out of the back of the chair and I tuck it back in a lot after I get up but it’s easy to tuck back in, and it looks much better than my chair looks without it. ... show more

I have 2 recliners which work perfectly but the vinyl is worn clean off the upholstery (think of the Dad's chair on the TV show Frazier). I live alone so it doesn't really bother me but my kids make a big fuss over it when they visit. I bought these to cover us the recliners. The covers come in 4 pieces and fit easily over the arms, back, and seat. They actually looked pretty good. The recliner functions fine with the covers in place. There is a tendency for the stretchy material to move a little which can be readily smoothed out. I decided, however, to leave them off until someone who worries about such things comes to visit, which is not that often. They are so easy to put on that its not a problem to do that and I figure that the covers will look better and last longer if I do that. ... show more

I ordered the deep teal and the color was true to what was pictured. I have a more petite recliner. The back didn’t completely get covered, but the front ended up looking ok once I smoothed and tucked. The main problem is that the hole for the handle is inside the pocket. Even if the hole lined up with my handle, the pocket would be unusable. I use that handle all the time and with other options on Amazon, it’s not worth living with it like others have. If you don’t have a handle, this will probably work fine for you. I also didn’t care for the material after all. It’s very soft, but it reminds me too much of a velvety blanket, not furniture fabric.
