Some negative reviews mentioned strong smell and difficulty to build. I felt it was extremely easy to build and had no strong odor whatsoever. The one thing you do need to be careful with is that it will scuff/dent if you hit it. I am a little clumsy and banged the side of one of the legs against the corner of the wall, it did mark. However, I was lucky it was on the hidden side and really most things mark if you bang them against something like a wall. It's super sturdy and looks expensive. It’s a beautiful crib and the cost is so reasonable. We have been using it for a year now and I love it. When it arrived there was a chip in one of the pieces, I contacted the manufacturer and they replaced it at no cost with no hassle! It was a great experience. This crib was pretty easy to put together by myself once I got used to the instructions. Hubby had to help put the bottom and sides together, but that's true of most cribs. The crib is a nice, clean white and while others have complained that they don't like the hardware that shows, we don't find it to be bothersome. The best part about this is the customer service I received from Stork Craft when I requested a replacement part for a cracked piece on the footboard. I believe the crack was a combination of me over tightening hardware in a hole that was drilled a bit to close to the edge. But they replaced it within days at no cost and no questions asked. We bought this for our 15 month old daughter and have had it for a couple of months. We like it so much that we'll probably buy the same model in a different color for our son due in a couple of months. ... show more

We received this crib in white as a gift from my mother. The other day my husband and I decided to put it together and it wasn't that complicated as some people say. It took us less than an hour. When we open the huge box (which was ripped in some places from the transport) I was worried that there may be damage or pieces missing but the inside box was carefully isolated and protected - everything was there,in great condition and no toxic smell. It is sturdy and we really love how it looks - can't wait to receive the crib mattress so I can set it up and get it ready for our baby before he arrives. The wood is not the best quality, it seems that it will scratch easily but come on, for this price it is one very nice crib. The reason I gave it 4 starts is because I haven't use it yet. This is a fantastic crib, especially for the cost! Shipping was quick. I put it together by myself at 5 months pregnant, in about an hour and a half. The instructions are clear. It came with all the necessary pieces, tool and screws to assemble. It also comes with the toddler rail. Later on when its time to convert it to a full bed, you do have to purchase a full size metal bed frame seperately, but thats to be expected. Once together, the crib is very sturdy and heavy. Mine has absolutely no chemical like smell to it. The paint is a beautiful color and seems high quality. It didnt get scratched or anything while I was assembling it. ... show more

We just love this crib. I have a ton of furniture at home that I’ve assembled myself and this was the first one which had 0 defects. Every hole, every joint fits perfectly. High quality workmanship. Once I was past the initial 20 mins of familiarizing with the different parts and hardware, putting it together was a breeze. One thing to note is there are some extra pieces of hardware, so expect to have a few screws left over. Also if you are buying for a newborn, then you will be left with a stretcher bar that comes with it so store it safely for later years if you want to convert to a day bed. ... show more

This crib has a very nice design, but it came with lots of damage and some parts did not align properly as seen in my photos. When we first opened the box, I noticed the way it was packed was not the best. The pieces were a bit of a mess in the box. I was not interested in packing the entire crib back into the box and waiting for a replacement, so I kept it. Luckily, it is not structural damage where I feel like my son would be unsafe sleeping in it. I had to superglue a piece of wood back onto the railing since it completely broke off in the box somehow. I plan on covering one crack with a blanket. Putting the crib together was not too difficult. Me and my mom put it together in about an hour or so. It is a reasonably priced crib compared to other models/brands, but a lower price should not mean it comes damaged. I probably would not recommend this product to someone else due to the damage and not properly made pieces. ... show more
