  • Versatile Organization Option
Size: Medium Style: Style 1
I have been exploring various storage solutions to effectively organize my garage. Upon discovering this product, I immediately recognized its potential as an efficient organizer for my home gym accessories. Currently, I have these items haphazardly thrown into a milk crate container, leading to a cluttered mess and difficulty in locating things. The minimalist design of the three shelves appealed to me, offering versatile storage not only for exercise or sports equipment but also for other items. Although I initially missed the directions posted on the website, I referred to them once I unpacked the contents. Assembly took approximately 30 minutes, and I opted to use my personal Allen key, although the provided one is functional as well. Putting this organizer together was a one-person task, and I believe most individuals could easily manage it. The process involves connecting several poles and securing them with the supplied screws, resulting in a lightweight structure that can be effortlessly relocated if necessary. I find this organizer to embody a sense of minimalism, which suits my needs perfectly. Its depth, less than 10 inches, allowed me to position it in a short corner near the garage door without obstructing the doorway's passage. So far, the items I've placed on the shelves have been sturdily supported, displaying no signs of weakness or failure. I even tested it by placing a 25 lb. dumbbell on one of the shelves, which it held without any issues. The shelf fabric appears durable, receiving additional reinforcement from cross member bars inserted through it. Interestingly, I found four extra bolts that seemed to have no designated installation point. Despite carefully consulting the instruction manual and accounting for all other components, their purpose remained unclear. For now, I have secured them at the top rails, anticipating that I might figure out their intended use later. The "S" hooks provided, while theoretically useful, proved to be the weakest and least functional aspect. Although they fit the diameter of the pole supports, they lacked sufficient curvature to remain securely in place as items were removed. To address this, I slightly bent each hook inward, although this was not a fully satisfactory solution. I'm considering switching to "S" shaped carabiners for secure retention when placing or removing items as they will most likely fall off for you. Once I began placing items on the organizer, my appreciation for its functionality grew significantly. Also pleased with the appearance with items placed on it. While I currently do not require an additional unit, I would undoubtedly consider purchasing this product should the need arise. It serves as an excellent choice for a basic, versatile, and uncomplicated storage solution. ... show more

  • Rounded up to four stars
Size: Medium Style: Style 1
This sports equipment organizer is perfectly fine, if you know what you're getting. The Good: It's fairly easy to assemble, even if the directions are about half worthless. Some of the parts snap together, while others need to be connected using bolts. They've included a hex key for this purpose, but I recommend using a ratcheting screwdrive with the appropriate bit. Once assembled, the rack is fairly sturdy, and it holds the equivalent of about nine basketballs (although the bottom layer is flat, so it's not really "meant" for balls). I currently have it about 3/4 full with a combination of basektballs, soccer balls, and some miscellaneous accessories. It takes up a slightly smaller footprint than the large tub that we had been storing these things in, which is nice (and it freed up that tub for other uses). The Bad: As mentioned, the directions aren't great, and some of the parts are pretty easy to mix up. I had to catch myself about half way through assembly as I had unintentionally swapped the cross-braces with each other, and it apparently matters witch one goes where. The rack is also pretty small, although that isn't really a suprise. And I wouldn't be planning on moving this thing very frequently. It seems fine for stationary use, but could definitely start to get wobbly if it's regularly moved. The fabric-like shelves seem sufficient for holding lightweight balls filled with air, but not anything more substantial. The Meh: The bottom "shelf" is flat, which is fine, and it comes with a plastic insert which is intended to give it some regidity, I suppose. It doesn't really do that, and the shelf is so low to the ground to begin with that it basically just sits on the floor once you put anything in it. I'd have rather seen the flat shelf be on top, and a little more sturdy. I suppose you could ignore the directions and try that, but it might not leave enough room between the shelves for basketballs. Also, the little S-hooks that it comes with that are intended to hang on the side are probably next to useless. The Huh?: There are a few extra bolts and nuts in the box that are clearly intended to attach one of these units to another just like it--there are even holes for that purpose in the top and bottom of the cross bars--thus making a double-tall shelf. However, there are absolutely no mentions of this ability anywhere in any of the directions. It's just weird. Overall, this storage shelf was kind of disappointing, but it ultimately does what it says it'll do, so I can't hate on it too much. But if this was a ten-star system instead of a five-star system, I'd have given it a 7, rather than an 8. ... show more

  • Nice storage rack...
Size: Medium Style: Style 1
but it might be a bit expensive for what you get. If this were $10 cheaper I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it; however, at the current price I think you might be able to find better/comparable alternatives for a lower price. Assembly was easy enough although the instructions weren't great. Also, as others have mentioned, there are extra bolts included that are for connecting another rack to the top to double it up but there is no reference to this capability in the directions. Also, with how thin/narrow the rack is, I'm not sure how stable this setup would be so IMO I think it's pointless functionality. ... show more

  • Decent ball holder but bottom shelf touches floor
Size: Medium Style: Style 1
The shelving unit is appropriate quality for the price. Upon opening the box, it looks like there are many more parts than expected. The ball organizer is broken down lots smaller than most products I have purchased of similar size. So most of the frame is broken down into 2 or 3 parts where they could have been molded into a single part. It makes the shipping box much smaller than expected but it will take a few extra minutes to understand and assemble the product. Assembly instructions are displayed in the listing. There is a paper version included in the box. Note that the bags that have the items in them have the letter for that part and the individual items are not labeled. Do not pour the items out of bags until you are ready to assemble - they are already pre-sorted by bag. There are extra screws that are not part of the assembly - all the screws to use are black and the same size. The silver screws are not needed, but there are extra holes in some of the pipes that you could attach other items to with the silver screws. The rods that make up the unit are thinner than I expected, but the unit seems to be sturdy enough for most uses. I am using the unit to hold 9 bowling balls right now. Only 3 would fit on each shelf and the bottom shelf is touching the floor, so essentially the bottom balls are sitting on the floor. But the unit is holding about 90 pounds on the upper 2 shelves without issues. I will update my review if I have issues over time. But there is NO indication how much this unit is designed to support. The shelves are made out of fabric that is slid over the rods. I expected the bowling balls to rest over the rods, but the rods are too far apart for the balls to touch. Their entire weight is being held by the fabric shelves. But the fabric seems strong enough to support the 3 balls totaling about 45 pounds per shelf. ... show more

  • great for wrangling all the sports equipment
Size: Medium Style: Style 1
got this to keep all the different sports equipment straight. my family is in a bunch of different sports - and the equipment was starting to take over our lives. Got this to wrangle it all and keep it straight. the assembly was a bit confusing. it was one of those one-pager for the instructions and not everything was labeled. it also had some extra parts. Otherwise, it was easy enough to figure out. took me maybe 20 minutes by myself. this is great because it fits all the soccer balls - but also has space for cleats, shin guards, etc. Love that it keeps it all organized and pulled together. ... show more

  • Very functional
Size: Medium Style: Style 1
I am not going to lie, when I saw the amount of parts this shelf has I almost didn't even try to put it together. It was a bit intimidating but in the end it was not so bad. It probably took me 10 minutes to put it together. I also had some extra parts. If you look at the pic, the silver screws are not on the list. The 4 screws you see in the list are the feet of the shelf. I included a pic of the instructions too because they initially look chaotic but it was doable. I would get again. ... show more
