I was surprised at the quality of these - they have a see-through thick plastic covering that unzips all the way around the bin, and a stiff bottom piece of canvas that helps them retain their shape. That said, I don't think that these are really meant for daily use - it'd be pretty annoying to have to unzip the whole thing (or partially), remove an item of interest, zip the cover again, and then replace the bin under the bed. However, for long term storage of out-of-season clothing items, bedsheets, etc., this is perfect. I have quite a low bed and the slim profile worked wonderfully. Not that the packaging is terribly important to the functioning of the product itself, but this was a beautifully packaged item, and I loved the unboxing.
