Needed this to heat milk in the microwave for coffee for 2 and still have room to froth it so got this 4 cup beaker. The Borosilicate reminds me of lab days in chemistry class. The reviewer who said he didn't think it was glass isn't familiar with Borosilicate which is lighter but doesn't break as easily as glass made of silica. ... show more

I make my coffee with an AeroPress and then transfer it to a Zojirushi container. I needed a sturdy wide top, a handle, and a pouring spout. This little baby checked all the boxes, and looks cute with my other beakers I use for cooking

As another couple of reviews said, the glass is incredibly thin. I had only used it a couple of times when the bottom developed a crack that quickly turned into a hole.
