This is red that looks great on browned skinned ladies. Every time I wear it, I get tons of compliments and people request the name and brand of the shade I am wearing. I believe this lipstick may have a bit of blue undertone, somewhat similar to MAC's Ruby Woo. But this lippie is much less drying and more affordable. This was my signature red for quite some time, and I don't recall it ever making my lips peel the way Ruby Woo does. I love it, even if I may have to reapply it halfway through the day. I only traded it in for Lady Balls Melted Matte, b/c it seemed like that one feathers a bit less. But I revisited this recently and was reminded of why I fell in love with the shade to begin with.

I purchased this lipstick because I’m inspired by AOC. Also, I think this shade of red will compliment a wide variety of skin tones. It brightens up your complexion instantly, with or without face makeup.

Perfect red on me, but it's not long lasting. It smudges after awhile of wearing it, also when eating. I'm used to maybelline superstay lasting like the whole day, but it's drying on the lips. I was hoping this would have lasted me at least 6-8hrs since it's in the name of the product. If you're careful and not going to eat, then maybe this is the perfect liquid lip for you.

I normally use plain ol' Covergirl Outlast in Ever Reddy or Your Classic Red. I read in Vogue that Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez wore Stila Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick in Beso. I love the color on her and had to try it. I love the applicator and how beautifully the liquid can be applied. Unfortunately, unlike Outlast, this stuff comes off. I can let Outlast set, then eat and nothing transfers. I let the Stila set for 10 minutes, blotted it, and had my yogurt. The Stila coated the edges of the spoon. (It was tough to wash off the spoon too!) I blotted again. I had to pick up a prescription in the store, and had to put on my mask, the staple accessory these days. That took less than 20 minutes. When I came home, there was light lipstick ghosting on inside of the mask and the lipstick on my lips looked smeared off. While there was pigment on my lips, Covergirl Outlast, stays put, does not ghost at all, and never smears off. Stila Beso is a beautiful color, but it does not perform as well as Covergirl. (Covergirl is 1/3 the price, too.) Not that I have that much game these days, but you can even apply Covergirl Outlast before bed and wake up with it still looking great. Stila wouldn't do so well.

AOC’s go-to red lip color really does stay on and is a nice bold bright matte red. Even though it is long lasting it and doesn’t smudge it isn’t a stain — as in you can wash it off or use makeup remover and it isn’t a big ordeal to take it off either. Even though it’s a lip gloss wand it gives enough control to not make too much of a mess with a shape. I’m sure a more pro person would use a brush instead but worked fine for me!
