These Stiga 3-star balls, along with the harder to find butterfly 3-star are my go-to balls for table tennis. Sure, you can find cheaper options, but I guarantee they won't outperform these. Don't cheap out and get the good stuff!

I love these ping pong balls, which are not very badly priced either. We play quite a lot at work, where we have table set up in the warehouse in the back with completely white walls. The office had spent money to purchase white balls (also Stiga 3-star balls, don't know much more than that about them), which of course are a challenge to spot against completely white backgrounds. In contrast, these orange Stiga balls pop out against the background, are quite easy to see and a joy to play with. However, I did note that these balls are lighter than the white ones we usually play with, bounce differently and curve a LOT more. When we played the first few times with them, a lot of people mentioned that you could actually see the shape of the path that these balls took through the air, and have to be quick on your feet to pick them up after they bounce on the table. They also tend to change direction a lot more after bouncing, so much so that if you aren't used to them, you can find yourself swatting at air and looking quite stupid at that... All in all, a great purchase and good value for money. ... show more

At the first moment it felt heavier than standard stiga ball, so I checked: 2.82 grams. Standard ball should be between 2.67 to 2.77. That's not horrible, but definetly changes the game dynamic.
