  • The Single Best Thing You Can Do to Make Your Acoustic Guitar Sound Better - But with a downside.
Let me start by saying I LOVE the way these picks help my guitar sound when strumming or picking on my Taylor acoustic guitar. Especially strumming. I was surprised when I did an "A-B" test with a medium (plastic) Fender pick. I did not realize just how much extra "baseball card spoke noise" my normal plastic picks made. These wooden picks really turn up the "mellow". The main downside to the wood picks is durability, especially if you are doing some heavy and prolonged strumming. I have yet to have one of the wooden picks break. But what does happen are worn edges. My conclusion is this: the best use of the wooden picks is during an actual performance (I do open mics) or when recording music or writing music. For extended hard strumming I switch back to my plastic picks. Like Styrofoam on the ocean, they will last forever. >>>>But as far as sound goes, these wooden picks win hands down.<<<< Seriously - no kidding - they make positive difference. ... show more

  • Sound great, handle well!
I have no idea what I'm doing when it comes to stringed instruments, so I mostly strum with my fingers. My guitarist friends love these wood picks! They can strum faster and sound clearer than the common plastic picks.

  • Attractive
These are attractive. I bought them because I’m a sucker for exotic wood. They ended up being the ones I use most often. Flexibility varies but they are generally softer I feel. I haven’t broken any in 2 months of use but you can clearly see the wear. Definitely giftable

  • Great but definitely plastic
Beautiful but they are plastic.

  • After using the picks for 2 months
I enjoy using this pick but I am not sure if this wooden as you can see in my photo. The edge is wearing down easily.

  • A SUPER set of Picks

  • Interesting Set
I ordered these because I wanted to hear if these had a different sound to the regular celluloid picks. I have various picks from nickel, copper, metal, sea shell, fins, and the regular plastic, but I had never tried wood. I am not sure of their durability, but since I play different styles of music and on various instruments I need to give them a trial run before I use on stage. I like the colors and patterns and the tone is mellow and rather subdued. They are the same size as your regular picks. I took a picture to compare size. I would have liked for the logo to have been in the middle for a bit more handling and grip. I am going to try on my mandolin to see if it can take the ware and tear of picking. These were an interesting find and set. ... show more
