When I ordered these shoes( try before you buy option) I was hoping they were leather as it was stated in the description. I guess you can't them. I got the black leather looking shoes. If you can see in one picture it shows that it is indeed synthetic upper and man-made sole. I understand that for that price it is highly unlikely to be genuine leather shoe, but it would be nice to know that in advance instead of looking for honest reviews or ordering and finding out it's a lie. I still decided to keep them for now and see how long it will last. It is cute and comfortable shoe, decent price. I like Steve Madden brand. It seems like a genuine Steve Madden shoe as on the bottom has imprint of logo. It is a little difficult to put it on without a shoehorn, but with it seems ok. I have only been wearing them for a week or so, will edit later if any changes. Overall it is a decent shoe .

I am in love with these Steve Madden Chelsea boots. They are sturdy but they are also very beautiful and they literally go with everything. You can dress them up. You can dress them down. You just can't go wrong with these boots in any of the colors.

I received knockoff boots. They do not match the bottom of actual Steve Madden howler boots and the stitching is coming apart. I’m returning, but thought others should know!
