I’m 5’10”, so I don’t love heels that are too high on me. This was the perfect happy medium between wearing a heel and not feeling too tall! The shoes are so comfy and versatile. You can wear them with jeans or a dress and they’d be so cute with either. So happy I got them!!

These boots look amazing! Lots of compliments! Oddly, only the right one was tight ... on the top part of my foot. Maybe my right foot has a problem ? LOL I had a cross-country trip booked so no time to return them. Looked up how to stretch a boot. *Partially filled zip-lock bags with water & placed in freezer over night (water expands when frozen). Don't laugh, it worked a charm! Used "Kiwi Parade Gloss" shoe wax in the morning. Brilliant! All better! *If you don't know how to do a genuine "spit wax" on your own shoes, i.e., you're a tadpole, don't try this boot-stretching technique.

Despite what the label says, the black boots are NOT real leather. They looked fine, but if the label says leather, I expect leather, not some imitation garbage that's going to flake off in a few months. I feel that's very dishonest and misleading. I saw the other reviews with pictures of the black boots flaking off and that is definitely what would have happened with these after some wear when it began creasing or I scuffed them or something. That is what pleather does, as it's literally just plastic and is not made for longetivity. It seems the other colors are fine though, judging from the reviews. Mine looked like the pictures. They felt a little weighty. I can't speak to how they fit though because I was sent the incorrect size anyway. So keeping all of this in mind, they aren't the worst thing ever if you know what you're expecting to get. I think however if they aren't real leather they are overpriced and you can find similar quality boots from cheaper brands. I hope this is just because I purchased these off Amazon and not because Steve Madden is intentionally being misleading as I generally like the brand. But I'm sorely disappointed in these. For those who have trouble differentiating based on sight alone, real leather has a smell to it that is very distinct and is rather unmistakable. If you are still unsure, put a couple drops of water on your item and if it's leather, it should soak in.

I get a lot of compliments on them. They look totally legit. But they hurt to put on and take off. I have to wear thick fuzzy socks so they don’t hurt my feet for long use. Definitely just good for looks but not comfort.
