I’m super happy with these boots. I want to start by saying I did originally go with the doc marten leather Jadon boots which are exactly like these but fancier and real leather. However i could not make the sizing work in those boots no matter how much I willed it. I’m between a 7.5 and an 8 - anyway, these maddens actually come in half sizes and I read they run a little small, so I got an 8, and they fit absolutely perfect. Sure they are not real leather but they are still very nice and look exactly like the docs for $100 less and far more comfy. I’m so happy I found these bc they look just like their more expensive competitors, but actually fit me and don’t hurt my feet.

Omg they are beautiful. I just got them So I have not worn them for a full day yet but I can definitely tell they will be comfortable. I have the Hawke boots from Madden girl which are very similar to these and those are my favorite boots ever. They are a little stiff but what new boots aren't when you get them. Also I will say they feel smaller than most boots but I did order my normal size and it will work. If you like a slightly looser fit I would size up at least half of size.

I got these boots to replace a similar pair I had and here are my first impressions since I didn’t see a lot of reviews of the black patent color. 1. I did not have the problem other reviewers mentioned where they had to cut under the zipper. 2. I’m normally a size 8, but I sized up to an 8.5 since a lot of the reviews said the boots run small. They’re a little roomy but still workable and I can’t be sure the 8’s wouldn’t have been too tight. 3. They definitely need some breaking in. One of the boots squeezes my leg in an uncomfortable way but I probably just need to loosen the laces. Overall they’re pretty cute, so now it’s just a matter of seeing how they wear. Update October 2024: I ended up exchanging for the 8s and they fit better so these shoes ARE true to size. They’ve worn well, but they do get scuffed. Still look great though.

These boots are absolutely amazing. I was looking for Doc Marten knockoffs that were patent leather and platform, and these exceeded my expectations. I wear them almost every day, and they're remarkably comfortable. I honestly loved them enough that I bought a second pair for when the first wear out (so far they're holding strong though). No regrets here! Tip: get a half size larger than you normally wear; they run small.

I bought these because I got the pink ones last year and you can no longer find the patent leather ones on the SM site. I like the shoes overall—which is why I bought another color. I bought the black in the same size as the pink, but they are slightly bigger. Nothing that is a deal breaker, but I definitely noticed a difference. Regarding wear, they are comfortable enough to wear all day (I wear them to work and out and about), but you have to more that because of the type of shoe, it is heavy and a little stiff. Again—this is not a dealbreaker for me and should be expected with a combat boot with a thick sole.

I am a size 7.5 and I have ordered this boot twice now because a 7.5 was too small and so was one size up. I did check the size chart for my second order (I didn't check the first time because a 7.5 usually fits) and according the chart an 8 should fit but its very slightly too small. This boot is super cute and seems like it would be comfortable. Just a heads up for anyone who may consider buying.
