the case is very nice and I took it to a two week trip to Europe about a month after receiving it from Amazon. after arriving in Europe I found that some of the stitching had come loose and my belongings were in danger of falling out. Luckily I carry a small sewing kit and double stitched the affected area. I notified amazon when I was back in the states of my problem. I was first referred to the Steve Madden company and they were worthless help. Amazon really came through and made it right with me. They sent me a new bag and I returned the faulty bag. I really looked the bag over very good and did not find any issues. The first one was probably just a fluke that can sometimes happen. But I was so happy that AMAZON made it right with me! My advice is to look over the stitching on the bag very good. Other than the stitching issues that bag did some hard traveling on rough pavement, went up and down steps ( I usually lifted and carried the bag on the steps) and came through like a trooper. My husband and I took this 24" suitcase, as well as the 28" version, on a week-long cruise, and we were very pleased with them both. Not only were they the most attractive pieces of luggage of the many we viewed while both boarding and disembarking, they performed like a dream. The "Shadow" fabric pattern is very classy, yet stands out, as it has a pattern and sheen reminiscent of a reptile. There are also little touches, such as the large zipper pulls, and leather (Genuine?) tassel and corner patches, that add to the visual appeal. There are handles on the top, bottom, and side, which make it easy to pick up and move. The zippers glide easily, as do the multi-directional wheels. The suitcases were so easy to maneuver in tighter spots that would have been such a hassle to negotiate otherwise. The telescopic handle works well, and seems to be sturdy enough. The suitcases have lots of pocket space, both inside and out, and expand to fit more inside contents. The inside holding capacity is also ample, as I estimate the 24" held about 35 pounds, give or take, and the 28" easily held at least 50-60 - both including a few bottles of alcohol we brought back - (and we'd weighed the 28" at about a little under 50 lbs before the trip to not surpass weigh limits). The suitcases themselves are light-weight, and the 24" suitcase fits neatly inside the 28" suitcase. In closing, I would highly recommend these suitcases, as they are 'the whole package.' ... show more

I got this for my girlfriend for when she travels abroad - she requested a distinguishable bag, something very loud and very unique, so it wouldn't get lost or misidentified. It arrived a little roughed up (not an issue, as a warehouse purchase AND it's bound to get damaged when she travels anyway). I bought this suitcase to replace one I loved and wore out. I do like the size and look of this suitcase. I love the red color. It has great pockets inside and outside. I ordered this piece of luggage for my wife. Her old Nautica bag had been ripped apart by the airlines. Found this Steve Madden luggage and got it for her. She loves it. Has all the features she wanted and has held up so far (although our travel has decreased due to the Covid times we have been in). The luggage is so distinctive that you can tell it is yours right away when it hits the luggage carousel in an airport. it handles well, has pockets to keep things separated and seems pretty sturdy. The luggage my wife and I purchased 20 years ago was falling apart. At the time, about $70 a piece. I've work Steve Madden shoes before and like the quality, so decided to try the luggage. Have not traveled with it yet, but it is much lighter than our old luggage, and a fair amount larger. Rivets are secure, and all the zippers appear well attached. The fabric appears very heavy duty. As a preliminary review, this is great. I give a four star because it does not have a garment bag and would prefer a little more leather guarding the corners. ... show more

The only reason why this is not a 5 star rating is because of how long it took for this product to arrive at my house. Other than the shipping, I enjoyed my new suitcase and it was really durable. The suitcase has many compartments to put everything into one bag instead of carrying other bags.
